Hi, Duffeteers!
This contest will run from 7/1 until 7/30. Please do NOT post your guesses before that date. I'm only posting this message now so that folks can start thinking and settle on the ONE idea they really want to guess. ONE entry per person, so think carefully. Also, it's first-come, first-guess. If someone else says "werewolf" or "vampire" before you, you're out of luck and need to guess something different. If you guess something that's already been suggested, you won't get another chance, so be sure to read all your fellow Duffeteers' ideas carefully BEFORE you post your guess!
Ok, so let's try and guess! It's probably a good idea to look back at old Halloween costumes to get a sense of what may come next...
2007 Wizard

2008 Punk'n Treat

2009 Masquerade Spirit
*This one's hard... The dominant color is definitely White.
But Gold, Red, and Orange all seem like reasonable supporting colors.
I think if "White/Gold" and "White/Red" were both submitted,
the winner would be the poster with the earliest timestamp.
2009 Black Cat
*This one is also a bit tricky. Someone might say Black/Gray.
But to my eye, the gray is really not what makes the contrast.
"Black/Orange" would be reasonable, but still I really think it's
Black/Red that defines the design. The contrasting bow makes it!
That choice would beat the others, regardless of time. However,
if no one said "Black/Red," either of the others would win.

2011 Halloween Dream/Pumpkin Harvest 2-purpose costume
*TOUGH!!!:lol:
I think we could safely settle on Black as the base color.
Black/Orange seems the most dominant to me, but if
Black/Purple was posted first, I'd probably give them the win.
We can't see it in this photo, but the Harvest costume has
a very clear contrast of Khaki/Orange. If someone guessed
that, I'd give two prizes due to the special circumstances.^^

*I remembered thinking this one would be difficult, but the Black,
although important, isn't really enough to be a contender with the other two.^^

I doubt I will guess correctly but I will guess nonetheless! Good idea for a fun activity, DuffyD and a nice prize!
