  • Former Residence of Walt Disney's 4Sale

My wife are selling our Home in Kansas City. We have lived there 5 1/2years and have really enjoyed the home. If you are interested in moving to Kansas City, The former residence of Walt Disney's is on the market. It's in very nice shape. When I redid the bath I put in heated tile floors. A 'Disney Touch'

If you, or if you know know of anyone interested in our home, please click on the link. Have a great day.

I would also appreciate any information anyone has about Walt's days at 3415 Charlotte. I already know he was broke at the time. Its been a pretty lucky house for us.

It is a beautiful home and looks amazingly well kept. I wonder if I can convince my wife to move to Kansas City? Would be a dream come true for any Disney fan.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

Not exactly... what I'm getting has a closer connection to the themeparks.

Then you'd have to move the house. I'm sure there's a nice spot in Celebration, FL you could relocate it to. :cwink:

That price to live in a place that Walt himself lived? That's almost laughable.

Here's the link. They don't even mention Walt Disney.
$139,900... Disney should buy it and move it to DCA!

There was an article in the KC Star that is hanging on our wall and that has stayed with the house. It talks about this house and his studio at 31st and Gillham. Apparently he was tossed for missing his $3 a month rent. He shortly there after left for CA. This house is known as the Disney house in Hyde Park, a distinguished neighborhood in KC. There was also a book published a few years ago titled "Disney Days in Kansas City."

Re: Former Residence of Walt Disney's 4Sale

I havn't been able to find any connection between Walt and this address. Not that I looked that long. I did see a couple references to an address at 3028 Bellefontaine. Including a site from the Kansas City Library website. http://kclibrary.org/guides/localhis...&articleID=412

It said Walt returned to Kansas City after WWI but dosen't mention an address. Is this the place he was at after World War I?

You may be able to find out more on this DVD:

                          http://www.amazon.com/Walt-Behind-Di...0230500&sr=8-1

It's got Diane Disney Miller speaking of many of Walt's homes, etc.

Cool house! Wish I had a need to be in KC!
