  • News DLP ticket price increases

Last week France's president Sarkozy announced plans to increase the sales tax on theme parks from the current 5.5% to 19.6% next year. This is an increase of nearly four times! To compensate for the loss of net profit it looks like EDL is going to have to increase ticket prices to more than ever before. I think if anything they should reduce the prices. Anyway, here is a link to my article about it:

Not the best news in the current economic climate. Prepare for plenty of discounted packages next year to make up for the inevitable fall in attendance.

          Re: DLP ticket price increases

Anyway, in 1986 when EDL signed the authorisation for Disneyland Paris, they also signed a "convention" (french word) with the french prime minister (Jacques Chirac) to keep the tax to 5.5 so DLP is not concerned.

But as said before the increase is gonna be quashed.
