  • Hotel choice for DLP Dec 19-23

We have finalized our trip and will be arriving in Paris on the morning of the December 15th, spending the first 4 days in Paris, then moving to DLP on the 19th departing mid-afternoon on the 23rd just in time for the holidays back home.

Looking at the packages on the website we can get the Santa Fe, 4 nights for $742. This package does include passes correct? The other value hotels are a little more but we would consider one of them or even a moderate if someone tells me a particular hotel is worth the extra expense. Don't want to skimp too much on this trip as I doubt we will be back soon but cannot afford to go too crazy :-)

    Any advice on hotel choices?

    Thanks,
    Skawt

Yes, all Disney hotels include Park Hopper passes.

If you are going leading up to Christmas, may I suggest splashing out a little more and staying at the Sequoia? My favourite all year 'round but especially lovely when decorated for Christmas. And the log fires are gorgeous after a cold day in the parks!

All I'd say is, for the additional price, the Cheyenne is worth it at least if only for design/surroundings. If you're bothered about a pool I'd go for the Sequoia Lodge, the cheapest mid-range hotel. It also has a modest but fun slide.

Another problem with the Santa Fe and the Cheyenne is the additional distance to walk to/from the parks and Disney Village. It may only be 5 or 10 minutes but makes a heck of a difference!

        Go Sequoia!

Especially in the freezing cold! I love Sequoia too, rooms are a bit dingy but I forgive it. It's certainly got wonderful walks form the lodges to the main building (wrap up warm).

See! If only you had phoned ahead for a Montana room like I told you!

Don't you start Nathan! hehe. I did darnit, they told me to ask when I got there and there weren't any. Still, in all honesty (and this sounds like I'm making the best out of a bad situation but I'm not) I didn't care and found the walks very pleasant. Leave me alone...

To add insult to injury I will add that I will be snuggling into my bed in my Montana room THIS TIME NEXT WEEK!

Been there done that, TWO WEEKS AGO! Doesn't have the same sting to it... I really didn't mind though, it didn't impede my trip in any way, I still got a crazy amount of rides on SM:M2 and Pirates!

I really am looking forward to taking it (relatively) easy on this trip and not rushing around. The thought of the Crush crush is stressing me out already though!

                    Anyway, back to topic...!

Wow, talk about quick replies, thanks!

I just booked my package at the Sequoia (Montana room), it was an extra $350 but it probably is a once-in-a-lifetime trip. it just seems strange to travel from Seattle to Paris to stay in a hotel themed to the Northwest :-)

No going back now, flight, Paris hotel, and Disney are all booked and paid for.

15th Anniversary and Christmas decorations, amazing. Now if they just open Tower of Terror it will be perfect!

Good for you mate! You will not regret it, Sequoia is the best value hotel at the resort and the Montana rooms are much nicer than the standard (at a minimal extra cost too!)

ToT may be open for Christmas (see an earlier thread entitled Chritmas Comes Early) but you will have a great time regardless! Enjoy!

Ah, I love Sequoia (good gift shop too i think). I'd say have a fantastic time but that's a given at a Disney Park
