  • *Sigh* A Nice Trip to Disneyland, But Very Limited Rides I Can Go On...

Well, next Wed. I predict (hope) the crowds will be small, but doesn't really matter, because I won't be allowed to ride more than POTC and the kiddie rides anyway. Heck, my nearly 3 years-old son can ride more rides than me! Being pregnant at DL kinda bums me out, but at least I get to spend some time in the great atmosphere, get some exercise, and escape from the balmy 95 degrees that is predicted that day in Las Vegas.

Lafantasma, enjoy the experience, you'll have fun, pregnancy or not. Just remember, I'll be sitting at home jealous of the kiddie rides you're riding that I'm not!!
Are you feeling better, or will you be up-chucking from one end of the park to the other?

A full day of POTC would be better than any work day I can imagine! Anyway, have fun and enjoy the experience.

Do things that you normally don't do, explore the nooks and crannies more. Spend time on TSI with your 3 year, stroll through the Disney Gallery and spend LOTS of time in the A/C's Animation Building.
There's still soooooooo much you can do!! Think of endless trips down the Jungle Cruise, countless drops on POTC, rematch after rematch on Buzz, flying to Neverland, Thinking you can make it with Casey jr. and the beauty of the Storybook land boats. Stake out a great spot for fireworks early and spend the wait time coloring or something like that with a sweet treat and your sweet 3 year old. Have FUN!!!

Thanks guys! No, I just got a WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL drug prescribed called Zofran that has helped the constant vomiting. It is meant for cancer patients on chemotherapy, but is safe for pregnancy also. Thank goodness I have insurance- I was complaining about my $40 co-pay until I found out insurance paid $260! This is for 15 pills!!!! At any rate, one thing I WON'T be doing at DL is throwing up! Hooray!!!!

When I was pregnant, I was sick all the time for the entire time and all day long, so I can sympathize. I was thinking of ya,thinking you'd always be on the lookout for a garbage can.
            Hurray for modern medicine!

I'm addicted to Disneyland. Disneyland hobbies are expensive.
If I become a bum people are going to say "Don't give him money, he's just gonna use it on Disneyland."

With all this talk of "off the shelf" and "on the back-burner" it seems the only thing that DCA is really missing is the kitchen sink!

Don't forget, you can ride IASW over and over again. Those anti-nausea pills will come in handy .

I remember Zofran well. They had to give it to me via IV because I couldn't even keep the pills down.

You'll have lots of fun! I take my 2 year old all the time, and we can get on most of the stuff and we have lots of fun. Honestly, I don't even miss all of the big rides at all.

Just remember that POTC and IASW are really great when you're tired and want to take a 10 minute nap.

My mom was pregnant when we went in '95. At least the People Mover was still open then (less than 2 months before its demise). She was able to ride most of the rides, just not the rough ones. Although, I was surprised at the attractions my dad went on in June since he's waiting for a kidney transplant (like Splash and Thunder Mountain). The only ride my mom felt a little shaken up from that time was Mr. Toad and that was because of the railroad tracks and wharf scenes.

Wilema made a good point. Go shopping. Buy a Monorail Game and you and the little one can play if you get tired of the Fantasyland rides and Pirates.

Thanks for all the tips! I needed these, because I don't think I went while I was preggie with the last one. This time I still want to go because my little guy LOVES it there (what can I say-good taste runs in the family). Too bad I won't know for sure what I'm having until the 22nd... I could at least be looking for a cute baby outfit or something!
