Re: Anyone going to the Disneyland exhibit at the Henry Ford Museum?
Im not but I have been there before. I honestly thought it was going to be a museum that displays Henry Ford items and cars but man was I dead wrong. The displayed a bunch of historical things but not much having to do with Henry Ford himself.

Ask mike isn't it in a place called Greenwich Village in Detroit or something? I forget the city name that it is in but My Uncle lives close to it.
I remember when I visited there last I ate in like a retro style cafe.
You know the type of style you would see in Happy Days.

Re: Anyone going to the Disneyland exhibit at the Henry Ford Museum?
Oh man, I would KILL to go. The Henry Ford Museum is one of my all time favorite museums. Ford was kind of an excentric guy. He liked all sorts of Americana things, and he collected a LOT of whatever he liked. He didn't just have a couple historical lightbulbs. He had hundreds of lightbulbs of different shapes, sizes, and technologies. He didn't have a couple vacuums, he had every model he could get his hands on. Plus, he had some really quirky items. Along with the chair from the Ford Theater in which President Lincoln was shot, the museum has what's purported to be Lincoln's last breath, a corked test tube that Lincoln's son-in-law supposedly help up to Lincoln's nose or mouth as he died.
It's a fascinating museuem and I'm sure they will do a wonderful job presenting the Disney story. I'm sad I'll be missing this.
Oh yeah, Greenfield Village is a pretty good recreated historical village to boot.

Re: Anyone going to the Disneyland exhibit at the Henry Ford Museum?
I have to admit I found the museum a little boring because It was completely different than what I expected and I did not know why the things were on display and what they had to do with Ford until now. They had Lincolns assasination chair there? When did they get it and where is it located in the museum? Why didn't Fords theatre keep it?

Oops, I must correct myself. Apparantly it's Edison's last breath on display, not Lincoln's. Oh well, one can't expect an 11 year old's memory to be perfect, right?

Re: Anyone going to the Disneyland exhibit at the Henry Ford Museum?
My aunt and uncle got married at the chappel in the Henry Ford Museum. I'm guessing it's still there? The last time I was there was back in 1984 or 85. The only thing I vaguely remember about the place is the display of Edison's last breath.
I bet the display will be awesome.
