  • [Question] DtD Pizza

Has anybody eaten at the pizza place Naples? I am curious how good a $45 pizza can possibly be???

    Re: DtD Pizza

45 dollar pizza?!1! I love pizza but I would never, EVER, pay that much for a pizza. I have found the best, biggest, cheesiest slices of pizza are from little places and not in fancy places that charge 45 DOLLARS! Unless someone says otherwise, I'd avoid it.

Now, I'll turn that little mouse's dream into a nightmare Fantasmic!

The only time we were there, it had enough grease on top of the pizza to float one of the new IASW boats...

I actually thought that the pizza wasn't that bad... not that good but not horrendous. I remember it was spendy but not $45!!!!

I have no desire to eat there again, though.

Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
          It was pain

Yes. They have a vegi pizza that is $45. I just kept looking at the outside menu in disbelief.

Been there twice...had the pizza once.

Nothing special at all...Pizza Port is probably better.

              Service sucks too.

It's either very big, or topped with caviar.

I once bought a very large pizza for $50 or so. rectangular, a few feet long (can't remember exactly), and there were strips that had different toppings.
The place was called Picasso's, and it was inside the Irvine Ranch Market in Woodland Hills. Wonderful pizza. "Every slice is a masterpiece." Slice. piece. Picasso. Masterpiece. That's a joke, son! I'm pitchin' them and they're sailin' over your head....

                    Re: DtD Pizza

OK, I read the menu. It is a "family-size" pizza. how big?? No idea. (ED: see below)
                    Naples Menu - Downtown Disney

                    Edit: 20 inches in diameter.
                    PI*10^2
                    314 square inches, approximately.
The 10-inch "small" pizza, assuming we're talking about the Pizza Prosciutto (expensive piece of meat), is PI*5^2 or 78.5 square inches.
                    small pizza is $16.95, or 21.5 cents/in^2.
                    Family-sized pizza is $45.50 or 14.5 cents/in^2.

                    Such a bargain!!

Now, try to get a family to agree on one set of toppings, specifically,
"Prosciutto, tomato sauce, aged provolone cheese, caramelized onions, and fresh tomatoes"

Well even though it seems like I am outnumbered, I enjoy eating at Naples with my family every time we go to Disneyland. We usually eat there for dinner. So for me and my family, we really like the food, and we wait in the 1 hour line usually every time.

The single slice from Nappolini (sp?) is the way to go. Its a large slice and while certainly not cheap, its not $45.

I really like Naples. I always get the goat cheese pizza, which I think is around $15, and its sooo tasty. Last time I was there the waiter was really cute too. And I definitely think its better than Pizza Port.

                            We'll never go again.

Tried it once, and that is all it took.

The first pizza came out to us burned to a crisp underneath. I HATE burned food! It looked OK on top, but black underneath.

The replacement one (30 minutes later) came out too greasy and chewy. Maybe they tried to rush it???

Overall, an hour and a half for a pizza lunch.

                            Nope, not for us!

The pizza at Naples is about a million times better than Pizza Port!
