  • Design a DL food location

What kind of original food location would you like to see added to DL? Something completely new and fresh, providing unique atmosphere and serving up a menu of things you can't presently find in the park. Would it be counter service, "buffet" style (like RRPP), full service? What land would you place it in, and how would it elaborate on that land's theme?

Above Peter Pan, Snow White or Pinocchio, build a castle dining experience like Cinderella's Royal banquet. The entrance to the restaurant could be through the castle walk through where you can enjoy the dioramas before you eat. An Aurora's Royal Banquet Hall would be really neat.

Dig out the center of the sub lagoon (the center of hte loop). Put in a restaurant just below water level (windowed, naturally). Call it Ariel's "Under the Sea" (this would of course require a re-theming of the place in DCA). Serve seafood.

On the subs ride, explain the building as an underwater research lab or something.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

I don't know where the would put this but I would love to see a chinese restraunt. I would be thiemed as a chinese pagoda. It could also feature outdoor dining among lush Chinese gardens. I would love to see a Mulan dark ride added in the same vinccinity.

How about a steakhouse in adventureland called Cannibals just kiddin...

I'd really like to see a place serving healthy and lighter choices. Would probably go best in Tomorrowland somewhere?

Or, how about a place by IASW that servers choices from all over the world?

Maybe a fondue place at the foot of the Matterhorn (cave entrance)?

          Gotta go...getting hungry

I love these ideas! They fit very well into their respective areas. I've heard the Castle dining experience in WDW is VERY popular, so that one's a no-brainer. The subs idea is great too, and with Nemo in the lagoon, it wouldn't be a problem at all to spot a familiar mermaid just for clever film reference's sake. I LOVE the IASW idea...that seems pretty obvious but I've never thought of it before and I'm surprised Disney hasn't created it. Fondue at the Matterhorn would be great! I think everyone's dreamed of having a reason to walk into that Mountain.

What about a nice up scale Italian restaurant in Fantasyland named "Tony's"?
Where the cook comes out and sings Bella Notte...

Fantastic idea! I would absolutely love that!

How about a juice and smoothie bar in Adventureland? They could theme it to some explorer, and have a few permanent selections, and they could rotate other fruits and juices in and out at random intervals, maybe even theme it to some famous explorer.
Pinkamena Diane Pie, is that you?

I love this as well, another proven Disney success as it stands on Main Street at WDW, but ours could definitely be more of a "fancy" experience. Good call!

Me too. Heck, I'd be happy if they'd ever open up the oriental counter in DCA. I think I've seen it in operation once.

How about a virtual restaurant in Tomorrowland, where all they serve is a little glass of blue liquid they claim is a "nourishing protein complex", but which they can make to appear "any way you wish to visualize." Or, maybe I'm borrowing too heavily...

How about an automat restaurant in Tomorrowland, like they tried to make successful for real back in the 1950's? A central seating area surrounded by walls of vending windows and coin slots.

And Frontierland needs that chuck wagon back. Along with the rest of the desert.
"Say, uh, ever hear of the devil's paint pots? Real mystery of the desert. Bubblin' pots of mud in all kinds of colors."
