  • [Fun] Farewell Steve Martin, Donald and the 50th!

Well, we closed the Park tonight and got to watch the final performance on the big screen of the First Magical 50 Years.

I know... That and a quarter won't buy me a cup of coffee!

But hey, at least we can say we were in the final audience of it.

    Now, bring on President Lincoln!

    :yea:

    Oops!

Of course .. I listened to a CM in the bank/AP processing center for telling me they weren't going to do anything till summer. That's what I get for listening to them!

They are the last ones to know anything going on!

I'll have to wait and see it on the much smaller screen they have planned for it later.

Dear Peoplemover Fans, If you want to see a new attraction that at least mimics the 1967 Peoplemover in a future Tomorrowland remodel, you need to write to the powers-that-be, and let them know. If you don't - Then the next time Tomorrowland is remodeled, you will see a land barren of any "Peoplemover" type attraction.

The bank isn't closing until summer. The Opera House closed first.

I was there tonight for the final show, too. It was fun watching Maynard and cast members enjoying the last performance.

wasn't there for the last showing, but we went around 5:15 or so, it was the most crowded that I can recall since 2005. I know it has flaws, but I do love that film.

                  I don't think it's "Bye" for good.
From what I understand ... you know where there's that little alcove just as you enter .. immediately to the left as you come in? That viewing room with a little screen? That is apparently is where the "Steve Martin - 50th" film will be playing.

You mean the owl's not coming back? Bummer.

So what are they going to show on the bigger screen at the back of the lobby?

I will miss seeing my son on the "Big Screen"...We never called it the 50th Film....it was Aaron's movie :-)...and if you didn't know, our son was the Blue Power Ranger that came up right after Walt does his Opening Day Speech...Our son became the center of the Castle! We are very proud!

Yup, I was there as well. It was sure was crowded for the last show. Probably the most I have ever seen.

Beans ... I was hoping it would still be playing when we went in June.

I loved it. I think it was one of those shows that the older you are the more you appreciated it.

Wow, with all of the MC'ers there for the last show, we could have had another 12:00 meet.

                              But at MIDNIGHT!
