  • [Question] Getting into the park to buy a poster...

I heard that you can get into the park for free if you're only in there to buy food or a poster or such...

    ... is this true?

It used to be that you could get a shopper's pass good for one hour but they discontinued the program sometime last year. So the answer would be "no".

Your next best bet is to try the World Of Disney Store, I believe they have EVERYTHING that they sell in the park, no?

Well, I'd only be going in to buy a ride poster, so unless it's a long line...I guess it would take like 20 min.

Downtown Disney. I'd call and ask first if they have it.

Not so. There are several 'Theme Park Exclusives.'

But if they let you in to shop for an hour... what would stop you from not leaving?

^The fact they have your credit card and they could charge you 69 bucks if you don't return in one hour

It used to be that Disney offered a "Shopper's Pass": they would take an imprint of your credit card and hold it for an hour. If you failed to return in that hour they would charge your card the equivalent of a one-day, one-park ticket (currently $69). Disney has since stopped making this service available, so the "how to do it" question is moot.

The World of Disney store in Downtown Disney has a Print On Demand service where you can get copies of a lot of different artwork, including ride posters.

You could always call Disneyland Delivears and have them ship it to you.

We've done that numerous times when we spot a nice gift idea but don't want to spoil it by buying it in front of the gift recipient (AKA- kid).

This is what I would do. World of Disney does not carry the ride posters... these are sold only within the park.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

Is that a new development? Because I absolutely have purchased attractions posters at World of Disney.

Last time I was there I looked for them as I collect them, didn't see them anywhere and even asked. Was told they were only sold in park.

Not sure if this is new, was temporary, or what.

I guess check WoD and see... they may or may not be there.

They are sold at WoD in the figurines section on the right side wall to the left of the registers.
