  • Haunted Mansion Holiday 2005 Sountrack questions.

    Hey all!

I have just ordered the newly released HMH 2005 Disneyland soundtrack and I wanted to know if anyone knew what songs are on it and if their is a site that plays samples of the songs.

Hmmm. Check out this contest. There's a full track listing as well as a sample of the ride-thru track. It's an awesome CD.

Hmm there's a 2005 cd release for it? Where'd you order from?

edit: the one trader sam pointed to looks like it's just the old one. It's the scarols from out front and then a ride through of the 2002+ version.

Ah! 2005! I missed that part of the message somehow. I've never heard of a 2005 release, unless it's a bootleg CD that someone made. However, all of the music is the same as last year, so what's the difference? Where did you order it? Curiouser and curiouser.

Ah! That's the Japanese version from Tokyo Disneyland's Haunted Mansion Holiday! Do you understand Japanese?

I ordered it from Amazon (No sellers on Amazon, I literally ordered it from the Amazon company). A few days ago I did a search on the CD and they said it was yet to be released until two days ago when it finally came out. The CD is official, but it is an import.

There's a video somewhere on the Net of the Japan HMH. It's a little strange to hear Jack & Sally speak Japanese. The one thing I really loved about the JHMH is the harpsicord version of "Kidnap the Sandy Claws," played in the Library by the Vampire Teddy.

Come to think of it, having the Vampire Teddy play that on the piano (Attic scene) in our HMH would be kinda neat.

i got a question along the same lines here: Is the HMH music done by Danny Elfman like in the movie?

Not during HMH's premier year. If you listen to the first year's soundtrack, I don't believe any NBC music is in it. But I believe that for the second year (2002), Elfman did compose the score. But I believe that they never really used Elfman's version of the stretching room b/c the original was much better. Besides that change, I believe the current version is the Elfman version.

Interesting. Well what I do know is that tokyo's version has a few more scenes (cuz it's designed like wdw's mansion... has a lot of sally) and for the rest of it it's mostly 2002 but has 2001 every now and then such as in the graveyard. So the cd might be interesting.
