  • [Fun] The 100th Anniversary of Disneyland

Where do you think Disneyland will be in 2055 and what do you think they will do for the celebration?

I believe that by 2055, we will be given major refurbs of the rides that truly need it, hopefully a 3rd park will also be standing by then (Whatever their idea will be), they will do a major refurb to Tomorrowland etc.

I have no ideas or concepts for what they will do for the 100th anniversary besides possibly a major remodeling of the castle.

What do you think Disneyland will be in 2055?

Not to be pessimistic but I think it will be gone.

Maybe because of 2012 (No, I don't believe, but that doesn't mean it's not true), or maybe because of a huge earthquake, etc.

You got to be positive man, I mean who knows what will happen in 2012, but you also got to think that the reason people joined this site was because of their love for the Disney Parks.

      Besides, people can dream right?

Honestly, most of the infrastructure of Disneyland will need to be replaced by then. The castle will be 100 years old as will most of the fantasyland buildings and all of Main Street. Not to mention the Mark Twain, etc.

I still think Disneyland will be there ... and so will I (I hope).

I think it may be gone (or standing on it's last leg)
          not because of mother nature
but the greed that is continually creeping through management

To that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.

Possably a fully remodled Disney's California Adventure(with a new name), a new third theme park(with annoucements on the way for a new fourth park), a PRT system connecting the entire resort, a fully fleshed out Tomorrowland, New Attractions, New Shows, New Restraunts, New Hotels, New Shops, New Lands... "If You Can Dream It, Then You can Really Do It and That's The Most Exciting Part."

I second this, unfortunately. I have high, high hopes that we're wrong, but if the current trend continues then the Disneyland we know and love will only be a memory, whether or not something is standing in that space.

I will think of it as I stare at the inside of my coffin. I HOPE I'm still around then.

Not sure. Hoping it'll still be mostly the same, if not better.

I'll be sure to remind my 64-year-old self to write a trip report once that day comes. XP

The Matterhorn will be the world's largest termite colony, but the Jungle Cruise will go on forever, even if there is no Disneyland.
