This may be a couple of silly questions, but try them out: (and by parks I mean DCA as well)

1. What is your favorite sound effect from anything in the parks?
2. What is your favorite song from anything in the parks?

1. Anything on Pirates, and the sound you hear from the Triceratops on the Primeval World Diorama on the Disneyland Railroad.

The banjo pickin' music from the Keel Boats - guaranteed to make the next few minutes fly by like hours!

The sing-along with Billy Hill and the Hillbililes

As for recorded sounds, (I like all the sounds the locomotives around the park make) probably one of the coolest sounds I've heard is "flooding the ballast tanks" on FNSV. Also the whirling and engines starts from Submarine Voyage (which came from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea) are really cool.

I love the com chat from Space Mountain and the turnstile chime. I also agree with Nautilus, I've found the "flooding main ballast tanks- PSHWOOOAAHHHHH" sound very satisfying.

When I hear the sound of the train's whistle and its bell as it pulls into Mainstreet station, that's when I know I really am back in DL.

Without a doubt, King Arthur's Carousel version of "Once upon a dream." When that song cues in it makes me all starry-eyed.:blush:

My favorite sound effect is the 'chime' from Star Tours followed by an announcement.
"Kuchana, Kuchana... Departing Endor passenger Sacul, Mr. Egroeg Sacul. Please see the Star Tours agent at gate number 3.”

Can I add another favorite sound? The Mark Twain whistle. Very distinct and capable of conjuring up fond memories.

Recently re-discovered the old Space Mountain theme and absolutely love it.
Very reminiscent of my childhood... oh the memories of when the song worked every 1 in 10 times I rode the ride.

As far as sounds, My favorite is Raven's caw in Haunted Mansion as you slide out of the attic and into the graveyard.

The Songs is a tie between Haunted Mansion theme playing in the gallery ( not that “Grim Grinning Ghost” isn’t a favorite too ) so creepy and the Jazz band at the French Market Restaurant, I can never remember thier name but they just set my mood especially when I can take the time to sit back and enjoy lunch and really relax the music.

I like the sound the railroad makes when your waiting for it to pick you up. The clickity clack and I have always liked the startours Chime also. My favorite song I dont know the name of it but I always hear it while walking down mainstreet.

1. The DLRR station "now arriving" announcments, the "honk, Ah-wooo-gah, and clang" of the Main Street vehicles. (No special sound effect for DCA)

2. Grim Grinnin' Ghosts, The medley that accompanies the images in the Animation Station.

1. Defintely the train whistle and "now arriving" announcement. Also, not really a sound effect but the sound of the cars in Autopia

StarTours passenger attention chime (already mentioned), or pirate ship introduction from Fantasmic (boom! bum baa baaaa)

The sound of a jet taking off played backwards at the end of Space Mountain and Everybody's Got a Laughin Place-leads up to the big drop.
