  • The Tree is Up!!!

    :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

    Sorry if this is a duplicate post, but me and the boyz were at the DLR this morning and the tree is up on main street and it looks incredible! All golden ornaments, huge ones on the bottom getting smaller towards the top. Kind of gives the illusion that the tree is taller than it is. And it's already...what? 30 - 40 feet? We didn't stay until dark, but I bet it looks AMAZING at night!

    BTW - Another great day at the parks. NO LINES to get in in either park, walked on all rides EXCEPT SOARIN!!! What the heck? Smallest crowd of the year in DCA and the standby line was NINETY MINUTES! And there were only about 10 outside the door!! And the frickin FAST PASS line was about 45 minutes. This is what they call a fast pass??? (They were only running one theater....saving $$$?)

    How empty was DCA? Paradise Pier was EMPTY!! One small line for California Screamin and that was pretty much it. Oh...except for very bored looking cast members. NOBODY THERE!!!

    Anyway...aside from not going on Soarin with our now "Slow" passes, we had a great time!! Try to get to the park to see this tree! (Darkbeer...we need pics!! )

    90 minutes, thats the fastpass effect during a downtime when fastpass is booking out unfortunately. If they were giving out over half the capacity of the attraction to fastpass but then the capacity drops to 50% of normal then they have more fastpasses than the reduced capacity ride can handle. This makes standby truly standby since unless a large number of fastpassers fail to arrive no standbys will be able to be admited.

          Will check out the Tree on Friday, if no pics by then I'll make sure and get some! Can hardly wait to see it!
          Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
          it's what they are like in their HEART!

              Awww! I got home from DL last night, so I guess we just barely missed it. I'm going to have to make the trek out there one of these Decembers for the full Disney Christmas experience. Can't wait for pics!

              The park was pretty empty last Wednesday and Thursday too. It was great after being there in August - I think we covered in three hours what took a full day in the summer.
