I recall seeing a picture circulating the internet showing them having a party inside the Golden Horseshoe Revue...

        could be wrong though.

For their 31st anniversary (1956), it was a petrified tree stump, which Lillian donated to Disneyland. It's been in Frontierland ever since.

Can always can count on mr. wiggins.
Yup, so when you hear the triva question: what's the oldest attraction at disneyland, you can answer back the info wiggins gave (tree, not boat).

As a child in Marceline, Walt once put on a circus for the neighborhood kids, and charged them a small fee. His mother made him give back the money because he didn't give them a good enough show.

I think the tree was cheaper, and you get more for the value.

                        Re: Walt Disney Fun Fact

The story is, Walt didn't know what to get Lillian for her 31st anniversary she had everything she wanted even she didn't know what to ask for, as the anniversary got closer and closer Walt still didn't have a present, he was in Colorado on a buisness trip and it was there that he found her present, the petrified tree stump, he had it sent back to the studio, on their 31st anniversary Walt unveilled it to Lillian and she hated it, she wanted to know why out of all the things to get he got a tree stump, he explained how historic the stump is and it was the only thing he could think of, she didn't want to dissapoint Walt buy getting rid of it so instead she donated it to Disneyland and thats why if you read the plaq it says "donated by Mrs. Lillian Disney" cool little story aint it

Kinda sad though. Walt was just trying to do the best he could and Lillian couldn't care less about it.
