I am an enormous man. I wonder if I'll be able to ride Luigi's Flying Tires (meaning I wonder if the ride will be able to lift me.)

Thank you for sharing this!! I love seeing yesteryear footage like this.

As a side note, does anyone else find that Mickey Mouse costume a little creepy? If I were a kid, I don't know if I'd want to say hello to him at the park. I'm glad they've updated that!
Merida looks like this. Not a Barbie doll!

It probably will if you ride alone and try to lean the car.

Wait, weren't these supposed to be significantly faster than Luigi's Flying Tires? I don't see it.

I never knew that there were beach balls on the Flying Saucers too.

Haha, wow I had no idea they ever put beach balls on the old Flying Saucers too. The only footage of the ride I've ever seen was the one with the old man smoking a cigar and taking pictures while riding.

Anyway, they still look more fun than LFT, despite the design flaws. They're bouncy!

Watching that video makes me a little sad, because I was there in 1964 yet I never rode the Flying Saucers. My sister did - she is the blond girl in the photo below, which my Dad took in 1964. I remember that seat belt with the many buckles. Interesting tidbit: To ride the Flying Saucers required an E ticket!

Lol. Well these videos are slowed down. Probably due to frame rate differences between film and video. There's a video by Disney which has footage of flying saucers at the proper frame rate. They're ridiculously faster.

I never got to see the Flying Saucers, but that seat buckle seems familiar. What other attraction(s) had them? I'm sure there was something, but I'm drawing a blank.

                              Another great video, btw!
