  • [Idea] Country Bear Jamboree -- the Ride!

Why not retrofit the Pooh ride with it's existing layout to accommodate the beautiful Marc Davis animatronic Country Bear cast (one set which has been allegedly preserved for future use), singing their trademark tunes in funny set-pieces --- but as a ride-through rather than sit-down show? I'll bet everyone would love the fast-paced, immersive new format!!!

Then build a proper "Pooh's Honey Hunt" E-Ticket (per Tokyo) in Fantasyland Theatre space.

Re: Country Bear Jamboree -- the Ride!

Tony Baxter did say yesterday that there were some rumblings about the Country Bears in CA again. He mentioned DCA specifically. He mentioned that when they were pretty much told that Pooh had to come to DIsneyland and WDI had to decide between Country Bears or Mr. Toad. So it was either remove the last Mr. Toad Wild Ride or remove the Country Bears which are still singing in WDW.

Defending Toad Hall from the Weasels was definitely the right choice.

I'm all for Country Bears at DCA/Grizzly Peak too -- especially since they were originally conceived for Walt's Mineral King project in California. Just bring 'em back. Either way, a ride could work just as well as a show.

I would be for a country bears ride where the rope course is give it enough room to make it great.

Re: Country Bear Jamboree -- the Ride!

I think if the Country Bears get added to DCA in the Grizzly Peak area (either as a show or ride), and pooh in DL gets upgraded then I think it will be a win-win. It also makes it so that there are not competing bears (Country vs Pooh) within the same park.

Totally agree that the Country Bears belong in DCA. I wouldn't have them replace the Wildnerness Explorers Camp, but I wonder if there's any kind of room to fit the theatre nearby? Would they sacrifice some Grand Californian land?

And once the show is in, stream in some of the music into the camp. Perhaps rearranged for more appropriate instruments.

Marc's bear characters are so cool, it would be a shame not to keep them going in some way here in Anaheim.

I would love to see the Bears back home! I don't care if they come to DCA or DL -- just as long as Toad is left alone!

Yes! And most definitely with the classic theme, not the country bear vacation hoedown. But if they put it in DCA, will Duffy be incorporated as that's his home.

Bring the country bears ride to DCA. DCA badly needs more dark rides

This is exactly what I've been thinking for part of DCA, if it has another expansion.

Bring the original country bears show to Where the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is now, this will really make Grizzly Peak feel like its own land. The Redwood challenge trail is really a waste in my opinion, it's really only for the little ones and the country bears is something everyone can enjoy.

Can it fit in front of the GCH to the left of Soarin under the monorail? Or is that where the Resort hotel entrance is? All in all great plan though I wouldn't mind leaving the Fantasyland Theater the way it is and letting Tokyo have it's own unique ride. Maybe I'm just not a Pooh fan? I say just redo Pooh in it's current location and put the Country Bears in Grizzly Peak.
