  • Video The Art of Frankenweenie Exhit at DCA

I went earlier today to the parks to see the Halloweentimes events (didn't stay too long since I had a noon soccer game) and took a video of the complete Frankenweenie Exhibit.

I'm shocked that this took over the Animation wall projections. I'm glad I'm not visiting there this holiday season 'cause I'd be pissed it if wasn't playing.

They couldn't even put Frankenweenie displays on the projection screens?

      It's temporary yes but really?

I'm looking forward to seeing it, myself...with all the models this looks as detailed as the Tim Burton exhibit that made the rounds at various art museums over the past few years.

^I know people here would hate me..but I'd love to see some Nightmare Before Christmas models come to DCA next year in a similar style

I would absolutely love a Nightmare exhibit at some point. If it ever happens I just hope I would be able to fly out and see it for myself.

As for the Frankenweenie exhibit, they probably will add stuff to all the projection screens after the movie is released. They might have chosen to just to the small panels with the art exhibit before the theatrical release.
Merrily on our way to nowhere at all.

I really like it and would LOVE seeing Nightmare as well. I am a very huge Burton fan and would love to see any of his work like this as long as it is a limited time thing.
Little and broken, but still good.

I would also love to see something on Nightmare. I think the traveling exhibit is over, so all the Nightmare art might be available. If there's a place for it somewhere at DCA, why not?

My feelings exactly. The Animation Lobby is, and has been one of DCA's best features. I really dislike when they use the lobby for other exhibits, as they are doing now, and have done in the past.

There are other locations where they could place this exhibit (among some other better locations, Blue Sky Cellar, the old Millionaire building, the indoor waiting area for the 3D preview of Frankenweenie )
Critter Country's a mess ev'r since the Country Bears were kicked out. Ya can't cover pooh with honey and 'spect people ta like it.

There was an exhibit on NBC in the former Disney Gallery space around the time HMH first opened in 2001 or when Oggie Boogie was introduced in 2003, but it was paired with HMH and HM material. Plus, there was that big Tim Burton retrospective that covered a whole range of his material, including NBC.

Thank you for sharing Right Ear -

Again, this sort of experience is a plus for Disneyland Park guests to enjoy if they're kicked out of Disneyland during those special days when you need a wristband after 5pm (you now have plenty of reasons to visit DCA for 5 hours before going home / back to your hotel room) ....
