  • [Fun] Lucille Ball at Disneyland footage

Just watched the bonus features on the new Here's Lucy Season Six DVD and there's some home movie footage of Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz and the kids at the park sometime in the 1950's.

    Pretty awesome to see.

Me, too. I was looking for something to watch. Interesting info regardless.

I got excited to see this only to see no video. I wonder if there were other times of any of them visiting the park that are documented.Hmm?

          *Mod Note*

Since there is indeed no video, I've changed the thread from [Video] to [Fun].

Here is a Picture I found of Lucy that doesn't say if it's at Disneyland but it does make note she wanted to see Wally Boag's Last Performance at the Golden Horseshoe and it reads "Lucille Ball made a point of being in the audience on January 28, 1982 to catch Wally
Boag's last performance at Disneyland's Golden Horseshoe. Copyright Disney
            Enterprises, Inc. All rights reserved"
Can anyone confirm by the background if it is or not? I rarely go to the Golden Horseshoe so I am not sure.

Hard to tell, but it does look like the Golden Horseshoe.

I seem to remember she also did an episode at Marineland.
Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?

Yes she did do that. Here is the thing I have searched for her at Disneyland all over the web. I found that one Picture. I have found Judy Garland and her kids who someone thought was Lucille Ball I was going to post them but I realized I would derail this thread even more but with that being said I found references to her(Lucille Ball) on how she payed for the Family that inspired "Yours Mine & Ours" to go to the park(Found a picture of all of them in front of the castle) then I found/saw a video that says supposedly she was at Opening Day(Media Day) when Art Linkletter is presenting Mr.Toads Wild Ride they say she is in the background but I don't see her. I doubt she is even there but I don't know.

The wallpaper in the background behind Ball and Boag looks about right. It certainly looks like something I've seen in there before, more in the lobby than the stage area. Hard to tell when it's black and white. You wouldn't typically find too many places outside of Disneyland in 1982 that would have still had wallpaper like that.

Couldn't find any Disneyland footage, but here's "Lucy at Marineland" (The Lucy Show, Season 4, Episode 1, first aired September 13, 1965) -

I really love Lucy Ball and was disappointed that there was't a video. The few pictures are cool tho. Thanks for sharing.
