I believe you do just check in in person at the ticket booths. No pre-registeration required.

Wristbands will be distributed inside the Main Entrance of Disney California Adventure Park to the right of the turnstiles.
      • Once the event has begun:

This is totally unfair for the paying guest. Paid guest deserves those extra 2 hours in the park.

How is it unfair? I've paid for my pass and I spend tons of money inside the park, and I'm sure ill be buying beer and snacks during those two hours.

I don't see how it's unfair. It's just for this month and happens after park hours. No paying guest is interrupted by this.

Wouldn't you be upset, if you were to buy a 1 day Full-priced ticket for Disney California Adventure, and realized that once it strikes 8pm, they start kicking out guests that aren't annual passholder.

I believe that all regular paying guest deserve those extra 2 hours since they are paying the full retail price admission tickets. In addition, they also buy foods and mechandises in the park like all other annual passholders.

It may seem unfair but really it's an effort to keep the park less busy on Friday for the "regular" guest. Even if that doesn't happen, it's basically a private party, which happen throughout the year. Are those also not fair?

You would have a point if they were closing early to do this. But the regular day ticket guest still gets the same experience as they would any other typical Monday - Thursday. The hours are extended beyond normal closing time for APs, not shortened for day guests.

I'm staying at the Grand Californian on one of these Thursday nights. I have been looking forward to it for a while. I do fear some how they will run out of wristbands before I get there.

Oh, and I saved like a billion dollars on the room because I am an AP holder. I feel so bad because it isn't fair to others...right?
