  • [Question] Wreck It Ralph Ride?

Okay Okay so we have discussed this concept before and we all agreed it was a great movie and we would love to see a ride....just not in tommorowland....so how about this.....How about they make it in Hollywood Land in California Adventure possible in the old sound stage. or maybe the muppets? or replace monsters inc? or maybe even replace the animation studio....what do you guys think? and if so what would they replace and what kind of ride would it be???

Why can't they just re-theme the Starcade in DL to Wreck It Ralph? I would be happy with that! Lots of retro games mixed with new ones. Maybe some claw machines with Wreck It Ralph plush or even better, Sega Disney plush.

What Kind of Ride would be?

When Universal announce that Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem is coming to Universal Studios Hollywood replace Terminator 2: 3D, open in 2014. The same attraction that has opened at Universal Studios Florida, replaced Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast.

So, Why not Disney Parks get their own 3D Motion Simulator ride, with a theme to Wreck-It Ralph; It will named Wreck-It Ralph: Arcade Rescue. Wreck-It Ralph: Arcade Rescue will compete with Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem.

There will be 2 Preshows rooms: King Candy's Fungeon and Game Central Station's Transportation Station.

Disney would Team-up with Simuline to bring X-Rider to Disney Parks, like this:
      X-Rider | Sega Amusements - YouTube.
The Ride Vehicle will be themed to Taffyta, Rancis, Cumbellina and Jubileena's Kart (as they borrowed their karts to Guest).

The theatre for the ride will be like this:

The Post Show room will be inside Niceland's Penthouse. This will be a Dance Party, the seats are recycled from Dancin' with Disney and use for tired Parents. Guest can dance Celebration, Funkytown and You Should be Dancing; Fix-It Felix, Jr. will be in the Post Show room, signing autographs and taking a Picture.

A Gift Shop will be the exit of the ride.

      Location:

How about as an Expansion of Hollywood Land.

In the former Parking Lot right next to Cars Land, Can Build a New Theater.

Also include a Water Playground, and a bug's land will be retheme into Sugar Rush.

A Restaurant named Arcade Grill and a store named Game Central Station Store; both located inside the Building.

The building of a new theatre is resemble to a former Terminator 2: 3D theatre:

But Litwak's Arcade facade will be the entrance, and the buliding will become into a Soundstage 10, and Fix-It Felix, Jr. poster, Sugar Rush poster, Hero's Duty poster and Litwak's Arcade poster surrounding the Soundstage. The Niceland Penthouse will be right in the White Curves Building. The Queue is enclosed, with theme of Litwak's Arcade interior and Game Central Station.

      OR

      replace Muppet-Vision 3D with a new Wreck-It Ralph attraction.

What does that have to do with Tomorrowland?

the Starcade should have a theme of Wreck it Ralph. It would fit the original theme of the area, but it bring it into the 21st century
The new Star Wars plot summery:

Episode 7: Luke discovers that Darth Vader is not his father, and goes on a search for his real father

Episode 8: Darth Vader is resurrected and goes on Jerry Springer, claiming he is Luke and Leia's father

Episode 9: Princes Leia is not Luke's sister, making him furious (we all know why...).

I see a Wreck-it-Ralph attraction being like Autopia only with themed cars and a highly detailed themed track of the candy land.....maybe with a section with the bugs....

Or a Buzz Lightyear type- again with candy themed cars but a shooter with the bugs?

Neither in Tomorrow land- Fantasyland material

If they could relocate the Fantasyland boundaries to include Autopia, I could see a Sugar Rush type ride that is Wreck-It Ralph themed. However, to do that you would have to also include the Nemo submarines into Fantasyland but that would cut Tomorrowland two major attractions.

I'll go for a single "Wreck It Ralph" themed videogame inside the existing Starcade, nothing less, nothing more.

                  Re: Wreck It Ralph Ride?

My idea for fitting Wreck-It Ralph into Tomorrowland is to have it replace BLAB as the "go into a video game" ride, except this time actually theme it to going into a video game. The story would be that a video game company is testing their latest technology to digitize players, and the games they've chosen to place them into are a bunch of retro classics like the games from Wreck-It Ralph. The characters are ageless, so they could still be around in the future, but it would definitely have to be clear that it takes place after the movie...like waaaaaaay after.

I think this is one recent movie that would make a good ride. The settings are interesting and varied.

                    Re: Wreck It Ralph Ride?

I feel like the virtual gaming concept has already been done, kind of, with Toy Story Mania. Disneyland shouldn't be a giant arcade.

I wouldn't mind having the Starcade or the space previously used as Flynn's during elecTRONica being re-themed as Litwak's Arcade and leaving it at that. You could have Hero's Duty, Fix-It Felix, and Sugar Rush inside the arcade along with several other classic games and call it a day. That wouldn't overrun Wreck-It Ralph not fitting into Tomorrowland/DCA and would allow whatever games they wanted to add to be added with no theme clashing.

Wreck-it-Ralph is decidedly not Tomorrowland though- nothing future about it given it's retro theme.

No wonder the imagineers struggle with pleasing people

They have one. Its called Star Tours 2: 3D

But I do like the idea of a real ride.

Hero's Duty, Hero's Duty, Hero's Duty! Though this would probably be too dark for a Disney ride and might be more fitting for Universal.

I'd like to have a ride with all (or most) of the settings from the movie, though. And maybe an original game setting.
