  • [Question] Best time to visit the parks?

I know this question probly comes up a lot, but I haven't seen it in a while or ever really looked into it much, but I'd like people's opinion on when the best time to visit the parks is? Meaning good weather, but lower crowd levels?

The past few times I've gone, I'm always stuck going in mid-september before I go back to school, thinking that a lot of schools are already back in session and crowds should be less. But that hasn't really been the case. At least not to the levels we like... And I won't have to worry about school anymore!!! Sooooooooo is there still such thing as low crowd levels??

I usually go in late January or early February.

So far, the weather has been nice, and crowds not too horrible.

I have had good experiences during late October and early December.

Some words of advice, make sure if you are going in October it is not during the Utah Education Association weekend, or as we like to call it; "Utah Enters Anaheim weekend." During that weekend there is a massive spike in crowds. Also keep an eye as to when Christmas Break starts in the L.A. area, as that often signals the end of the off season in December.

It used to be any time in October, but now it's all Halloween - all the time, from mid-September to November. Six plus weeks is way too much for me.

        Now I like mid-May.

it seems like there is never a good time anymore....im a local resident and had an annual pass for most of my life.....

2012 seem to be the busiest year....months that are usually dead were packed with people....

i wouldnt recommend early-mid september....usually the haunted mansion and space mountain are shut down for remodeling for halloween time.....

also, its packed during october....since mickey's treat or treat transfered to disneyland rather than california aadventure....disneyland gets crowded earlier since they allow the guests enter 2 hours before their event starts.....plus, disneyland closes earlier for normal guests....why pay an arm and a leg for less hours?

i would say the only days that barely have any lines are major holidays like christmas and thanksgiving.....

new years eve is a nightmare....

I have had good experiences in early March (before the Spring Break crowds) and early October.

When I was there in March it was nice during the day but a little chilly at night. It poured rain the day I left, so that is something to consider.
October wasn't too crowded and was decorated for Halloween. All of the holiday themed rides were open, too. Last year it was really hot but I think that was kind of unusual. One of the days it was around 100 degrees.
Merrily on our way to nowhere at all.

It seems like February/March, or right around late September early October. This has typically been our best bet.

I aim for around school schedules. January-February, May, Late August through Early September.
