I haven't seen them at DCA yet but my wife and I saw them at WDW in 03. If I remember, the worst were the Janet Jackson and Rosie. We liked Annette's Angel, the Coca-Cola Delivery man and train conductor Mickey. I have to make a trek out there to see them now so I can see how well they have faired! :monkey:

Most look pretty spiffy! The one with the comic strips pasted all over it was vandalized by some moron who ripped off some panels on the chest, looked like they were cut.

I like Fess Parkers too and my Wife really liked Annette's as well.

I don't know...ever since I was one of the FEW who saw 'Teachers Pet' in the theater (!!!) I like Baseman's 'take' on toons. Prior to seeing 'Teachers Pet'...I didn't like his stuff. Go figure.

Anyway for those who haven't had the chance to see them ALL...it's a worthy exhibit. To see them all be sure and stroll DTD for a couple (ESPN Zone has one for example) of 'em.

Here are all 75.
I didn't see a Janet Jackson one. But I agree the Rosie one is pretty bad. I liked the Elton John one, teh Koz one, the Tuck Morgan one and the Doris Roberts one. Yeah, the pizza one is kinda creepy, but heck it's pretty cool. Don't really like John Travolta's, Rosie's and the crab one.

I'm paging through the Mickeys now, and I thought I had seen them all, but there are ones that I know I never saw. Hmm. Anyway, of the ones I did actually see, I liked Ollie Johnston's. I'm such a geek.

I think I liked the one that Ming-Na designed. Or the Lennox one. I like the Lennox style figures.

I totally agree with the Rosie O'Donnell comment. It was quite awful-looking when I saw it.

I haven't been to DCA since the figures have come to this coast, but from one picture I saw, it looks like you can easily touch the statues. Is this correct? I liked how everything was roped off at WDW. I mean, people will always try to go under the rope to snap a picture or whatever, but the thought of them just out in the open with no boundaries is kind of disconcerting.

I agree with you about the Janet Jackson Mickey GC. It is kinda cute, and harkens her more innocent days.

DF89: They begin at the gate (DCA) then congregate at the fountain...then down the promrnade past Griz and Bugs...then toward Golden Dreams and then congregate again at the water edge amphetheater. Plus there are a couple in DTD.
