Met Anna and Elsa over 1100 times and not afraid to admit it. Just let it go

Actually, the Tomorrowland rethinking doesn't sound all that bad. The Millenium Falcon as the new weenie into the land is ok, and the Rocket Jets spinning in front of Space Mountain sounds very cool. No idea what's going underneath. Are they keeping the Magic Eye theatre?

I'm ambivalent about the Speeder Bike attraction. I prefer dark rides, but I'm old fashioned. The young'uns like cheap thrills. I'm very, very thankful they're not taking away the submarines. That would have been inexcusable.

Perhaps the best part of the scheme is the intent to put in two walk-through attractions. Walk-through's are some of the best ways to pack small spaces with wonderful touches and lots of detail. You know, the Disney difference. Man, it's been a long time coming.

Maybe I missed it, but what is the timeline on this? Are they planning it to be finished by the 60th, or just getting started then? I admit, while a Star Wars land isn't my first choice, this sounds pretty good. I would love to see some kind of People Mover-esque attraction that carries guests above Tomorrowland for some good views.
Good or bad, one thing I've learned is that Tomorrowland goes through more changes than any other land. After this, there will eventually be another change, so for those who don't like it, it's not forever.

Man, I love Star Wars, but I just hate this idea. Tomorrowland needs to have a balance of Disney Sci-Fi properties, not just Star Wars Land. It's particularly jarring when you've got that Tomorrowland movie coming next year. It's almost like a repeat of "Let's Replace Disneyland's Country Bears before we release that movie that's about the Country Bears trying to save Country Bear Hall" on steroids and with a movie that actually sounds good.

I don't hate the Star Wars revamp. Especially the walk-throughs, that sounds kinda neat...what can I say, I'm a sucker for a Wookie.

Surprising, I guess the Peoplemover track is a lost cause

Did not expect to hear that they're gutting Autopia, but that attraction has been oudated for decades.
There is no right or wrong in this debate. It is simply a matter of perspective.

              +1

I am a huge Star Wars fan too, but I don't want Tomorrowland to lose it's identity. Here's where I wish, again, that they would create a new and original attraction.

              Disneyland - 1982 to Present
              Walt Disney World - 1996, 2011
              Tokyo Disney Resort - 2013

Major issue with Tomorrowland that is different from the rest of the "lands" is that it represents "tomorrow." That means it needs to be updated more often (like, every day!!).
Space Mountain will not be removed, and the other available buildings won't be razed. But every ten years or so, it's going to need something new.

Say what you want, but that looks like a really exciting TL, or whatever you want to cal it, to visit.

While I'm excited at the idea of Tomorrowland finally getting updated, and the thought of seeing the Millennium Falcon sitting in Disneyland (how awesome!), like others posting here I'm kinda bummed too. I wish they'd use as much original material as possible in TL (there's enough third party IP in there already, like the rest of the park), and save new Star Wars stuff for the 3rd gate, where they can go huge in both ideas and scale.
