Nothing on OC Reg, LA Times or local news sites. If it's breaking it might take a few.

Great, prepare for more safety spiels...

i do hope everyone involved is okay, but there had to be user error (likely inadequate parental supervision) to fall out of the tram. The doors do not open on their own...

A young child fell from the tram, most likely the result of poor parental supervision and playing with the tram doors (which aren't easy to open.) Some said that the child had his foot ran over by the tram, but there wasn't any confirmation of that happening. It happened around 630pm (I think!) as the tram was headed back to the structure.

This might push them to retire the trams and use buses instead.

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- A boy is recovering after falling off a moving tram at Disneyland.
Paramedics and firefighters from the Anaheim Fire Department were called to the theme park around 5:30 p.m. Monday.
The boy, approximately 10 years old, was taken to an area hospital.
A witness said he was ejected from the tram.
It's unclear how serious his injuries are.
There's no official word on how he fell from the moving tram.

                    Ejected.

                    Yeah.

Because those tricky ejector seats and hydraulic cushions keep malfunctioning ALL THE T-

Wait, they still only have solid, hard plastic benches and the only way a child could be "ejected" is to be physically picked up and thrown?

                    Never mind.

The only things ejected here were parenting skills and common sense

Not that I WANT them, but I've been amazed that the trams haven't received seat belts or lap bars by now.

Sounds like the kid might have been on the outer edge of the seat. Tram safety spiel clearly states not to do this.

Sounds like the kid might have been playing with the door. Couldn't do this if he wasn't next to the door.

I feel bad for the kid. I feel angry toward his parents.

That just reminds me of the times I've seen CMs direct parents to place their kids on the inside of the tram, only to have the Little Darling snivel and wine until the parents put them back on the outside of the row and they get the "window" again.
