  • [Question] Annual Pass? First time AP holder?

So, I've never bought an AP before, so this would be my first. My co-workers have SoCal passes so that's
probably what I'd get... I'm 17, no credit card (my mom doesn't have one either (I know)) anyway, would

I be able to buy one at the park myself with cash? Someone said I have to be 18? Could a co-worker buy one for me or

does it have to be a guardian? Thanks!

As far as I know if you pay with cash you don't have to have a credit card. But you will have to have some sort of I.D. (School, California). I would call the Annual Pass Hotline (714)781-7277 just to be on the safe side.

I second calling the line to double check. In Arizona, you cannot enter a legal contract unless you're 18 or older. I have no idea if that's the case in California, but I wouldn't doubt if they have a minimum age requirement.

You don't need ID to prove your a SoCal resident because you are minor.

As long as you are paying it upfront, you are not entering a contract, so your age doesn't matter in that regard, either.

There's no contract regarding rules/behavior/block outs?

The standard Ts and Cs regarding guest behavior would still apply even to a minor as would the block out dates

Thanks for info guys! I called the AP Hotline and the woman said that if I pay with cash in person it's fine no matter my age.

Right. Which is why I'm surprised they're able to legally enter a contract with terms and conditions with a minor. Interesting!

Good to know! Seems a little risky business-wise, but what do I know? Thanks for the update!

^Usually those concerns only apply to credit or things that are legally binding as opposed to the terms and conditions for using a private venue. Disney doesn't need to legally ban people from the resort for breaking its rules, and it is accepting cash so there is no credit to worry about.

Technically, you agree to the terms and conditions of any venue when you enter (movie theaters, arcades, McDonalds...) and as we know minors do those things all the time.

Don't forget that local gift card distributors like Grocery Stores and craft stores sell DL Passes so just ask if they have the pass you want.
