  • oops in Jurassic Park

I just watched Jurassic Park last night, and the grandfather (the owner of the park) mentioned that all theme parks have troubles when they first open - for instance, when Walt Disney opened Disneyland in 1956!

    Fact checker messed up.

Yeah, I remember hearing that 13 years ago.

Perhaps that was the writer's intention of making this character not caring enough about facts when he built his "amusement park."

Not to mention that the joke is made that when pirates of the caribbean breaks down the pirates don't eat the tourist. But Pirates wasn't opened until 1967.

^^ Umm, I don't see the problem with that one. They weren't trying to say that Pirates opened in 1955 (or '56). They were just comparing Pirates to any of the Jurassic Park attractions.

Even though Captain EO doesn't seem to agree, I think there might be something to that theory. I mean, come on, how hard is it to fact-check something like the year that Disneyland opened? And somebody like Spielberg seems like they would know better...

So yes, maybe there is something hidden in there - for those who notice the gaffe - that John Hammond can be full of b.s.

My favorite Continuity error, is the part where the T-rex breaks free from the enclosure with the jeep attack, at first the ground is level were the goat dissapears from, then it's a huge cliff when the jeep goes over. Funny stuff there.

The scene is in a basement just before the girl goes out to turn the power back on. They are bandaging up Jeff Goldblum. I've seen the movie so many times, but this is the first time I noticed it.
