  • Blue Bayou Question

I will be at the park June 16th thru the 20th.

I looked at the calendar on Disneyland.com today and it said that
on the days Im there, the Blue Bayou is closed due to the Pirates refurb.

Will Blue Bayou be closed the entire time POTC is?

I was thinking of eating there to try to get a slight peek at the work since Ill be having withdrawls from not being able to ride Pirates. (I cant believe I will be there 4 dang days to early!)

    Thank you!
    Mellymouse

(do you think the Finding Nemo Subs line will be under 3 hours by then?)

Blue Bayou usually always closes during any Pirates closure.

Using the Search function is your friend also, BTW.

Having all the lights turned on and the water drained would ruin the dining effect, I would think.

And FYI it's also the time that any necessary refurbishing of the restaurant/kitchen and New Orleans Main Kitchen are done...

      Thanks,

      Barry

It's going to be closed, buttttt....

If you're craving Monte Cristos, they are supposed to start being sold somewhere in NOS, other than just the BB, and continuing on after everything opens back up.

Monte Cristos are usually sold at The French Market while Blue Bayou is closed.

Well I hope they put a little TLC into the BB. Im not saying it needs it! But any plussing that place is always a bonus for me! I just hope the staff can stay in and hang on till its open. I spoke with one waitress who has worked there for 25 years a few weeks ago, and she said they will be moving most of the staff into Airials Gratto since they have seniority, and come back. The waitress was such a nice woman that she felt BAD for displacing the current AG staff.

I also hope Mel Mel hangs in, but it will be hard. I would like to find out when they open the BB back up, and be one of the first customers to greet the staff back. That place is very special too me.

I don't know about any of you, but I hope they brighten BB just a bit. Me and my friends went to BB for the first time recently and could barely see a darn thing on the menu...

BTW, the food is pretty good. Monte Cristo was described by my friends as being a freshly made and expensive hot pocket.

                        melmel's hangin' in there.

lots of table service hosts are being sent to the quick service restaurants. for a lot of the girls, this is "beneath them" so many are quitting before the bb comes back.

me, i think it will be fun to work the occasional pizza port shift, but mostly i'm working at a premium location, since i have a lot of seniority, that keeps me in my park, in my land, practically in my location.
