Gross, none of Disney's water is exactly ideal swimming water.

How gross is ROA? And when they spray that foul smelling muck into the air during Fantasmic! for the films to be shown on the spray, the stink is enough to make me want to upchuck my Disneydinner. I never miss an opportunity to hit as many rides as I can while Fantasmic! is going. One, because the lines are shorter and two, I don't want that toxic crap sprayed on me and my family. Yech.

At least the water in DCA is clear and you can see the bottom of it...in the wharf area at least. And the water at Paradise Pier is way cleaner looking than that foul muck on Rivers of America.

I rode the Mark Twain and the water in ROA looks foul. Murky, oily and fairly toxic. Must be from years of bubbling gasses up through it to set the water of fire for Fantasmic! I see the canoes full of people and think "You idiots are going to get some water borne illness, yech"

yes, it is very foul smelling,. I saw fantasmic once and the smell made me keep walking furtehr and furtehr away from the water....and the show was boring, so we left.

I don't get in dirty water. I will ot even go in the ocean withour full scuba gear on. I did once and had a wave crash on me. The water went up my noseand in my mouth anmd I got SOOOO sick....after that no ocean withut full scubae gear....LOL...or at least the wet suit, mask and snorkel....I would never go in the water at DL....*yuck*...

Oh yeah THAT is clean water I want to swim in!!!

                Good morning, son
                In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
                It was pain
                Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Some of you guys are so paranoid about germs lol. I'm a surfer and I've never once gotten sick because I went in with just a bikini top and shorts. Thousands of surfers have lived through ocean water.

Now swimming through RoA maybe you would get sick.. But who would do that? And I've never smelt anything during Fantasmic...

And the stuff being sprayed on you at Fantasmic is a really toxic chemical called mist!!

Like omg, mist will kill you.

I know that the DCA lake is circulated through Grizzly Rapids. You'll notice if the rapids aren't running, the lake is higher than normal. So, maybe that's why it looks cleaner. I don't know about ROA -

The RoA color is green. Water is blue. What makes green? Blue and YELLOW.

I said it looked "CLEANER" at least you can see the bottom unlike ROA and i NEVER siad ANYTHING about going into it. But thanks for proving my point, the water in Paradise Harbor is way clearer than over at ROA.

Knock yourself out. Drink it if you dare. That stuff stinks when they sray it in the air for Fantasmic! and if you ride the Mark Twain you can see how vile it really is, with it's slicks of chemicals floating on it and a murkiness that suggests way more than just dyed water.

Back when I worked night custodial in the late 80's, we would dump our dirty mop water in the ROA. I worked for just the summer. But when I came back in '92, they wouldn't let us dump the mop water in the ROA. But still when they hose the streets evernight, all the stuff near the ROA get's hosed into the river. I mean everything from the F! view area.

There is so much crapped that gets hosed into the ROA. There is no way that I would get into any Disney water.
