  • If YOU were the new President of Disneyland...

As most know by now, Disneyland got a new President this month. If you were the new president what would be your first decision? What would be your priorities for this summer, for this year?

I'm not sure any of us could be. Does the rule still apply - if you aren't born in Disneyland, you are disqualified from being president?

First thing I would do is move Disneyland to someplace else before California falls into the sea!

But I'd leave California Adventure right were it is, so that it would make a nice reef for the little fishies.

I think you have to be both a citizen of Disneyland, and over the age of 35. Being born in Disneyland isn't necessarily a requirement, although being commander in chief of Disneylands vast arsenal of fireworks and other weapons (like the golden parade flags) would make carrying that heavy briefcase handcuffed to your wrist all the time somewhat tiresome.

I would do what it takes to make sure that the CM's get treated with the respect and honor we/they all deserve.
Took mom to Disneyland for the first time in over 20 years this week! Woo!

Well last time I was there I was made an honorary citizen, does that count?

If I were President I would definitely fix the CM turnover rate problem. Happy Employees = Happy Customers. I would raise the pay, give better benefits, and try to make all Disney employees feel like they were part of a special family where they would appreciate coming to work and want to keep their job for a long time.

I also would bring back traditional animation (even though they are doing it) but give the animators stable jobs, versus just paid for a certain project and then let go.

I also would try to do my best to fix up DCA and make it so there were actual que lines and you couldn't see the parking lot from inside the park.

Raising the cast members to expected wages and increasing the capacity of Peter Pan.
