  • Disneyland vacation planning DVD, a huge dissapointment, but hey it's free?!

I just recieved my DVD now...it's VERY dissapointing. Just the same two Disneyland related clips fron the WDW DVD transplanted onto a wasted DVD. I know it's free but even the WDW DVD actually had enough content to use a DVD. Oy vey, this just irritated me. Anyone else get their DVD in the mail yet??

*I noticed I repeated DVD one too many times. :o

Nothing yet, I was hoping it would be like the Cruise Line DVD, fun to watch!
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

We leave bright & early on Saturday morning from Kansas to Anaheim....I was hoping that this DVD would come in time for my kids to watch and get excited. Still no video.

On the flip-side my sis brought over a VHS tape from the 80's, I think it's called "A day at Disneyland" and it is great.

I have been over 30 times, but my oldest has only been once and this will be the first time for our 3-year old....cant wait !

Just be glad it's free.... I shelled out $20 for the "Souvenir DVD Guide" at the Emporium and guess what? Pretty much the same thing!

Thank goodness my local Disney Store accepted a return!

Can something that is "free" be called a "rip off"?

Not really but it still is a shame, especially since it is Disneylands 50th... oh well.

I'm really surprised that they did this...they could have easily used the old video footage and added a ToT commercial plus tack on a 50th anniversary commercial to the beginning and the end showing all the new stuff--wouldn't have cost them any more money and it would have been much more effective.

They could of easily slapped the content of the "Whole New World" video on there in addition to the 50th stuff. That's just really cheap by only putting a feature on the WDW one there. Why even bother with a DL DVD then?

I don't think the company that made these for Disney sent them the final product...

This is how the DVD starts:

And when you hit menu it goes to a very generic menu. Hmm, not something I would think they would want to mail out...
