  • Tower of Terror Lightning Effect - Part of Disney's HalloweenTime!

Here's a video I took of the special lightning effect being used on Tower of Terror as part of Disney's HalloweenTime at the Disneyland Resort!

    Watch now!

Wow, very cool. I'll definitely keep a look out for that when I go again. Must be a sight in person.

That's quite the effect! Love how it looks. Bet it's even cooler in person. Thanks for the post.

I wonder if this is because of Halloween or WDI trying to get a similar effect as to whats has been done with Disney Seas version.

Very Cool. Ill check it out on the 14th

That looks awesomely* spooky. It just seems like an entirely different place when all lit up at night like that (I never got the opportunity to go later in the evening).

The bat-arch does indeed rock. I look forward to seeing some of this promised theming!

Wish I had seen your video before my visit on Oct.22---we went on the attraction during the daytime, so you really could not appreciate the effect!

Thats sick! Last time I went during regular park hours, they still had the sound effects playing which frightened everybody sitting around the fountain (cuz that where the speakers are). The thunder sounded amazing! I wish I had speakers like that... They also had sounds of little girls playing which was terrifying (little girls scare me) and they also had a sound effect of bats rushing out of a cave.

DCA closes too early during the week and it is not dark yet when they do the stories one hour before the park closes. Then on Friday and Sunday nights when the park would normally close after dark, they are having Mickey's Halloween Treat, so it still closes early. So Saturday night is really the only time to see the lightning. Last week I walked by when they were doing the stories in full-daylight after 5:00, and it was just not the same at all.
