  • Just for fun - What is the one 50th Anniversary Souvenir that you will surely buy?

Now that May 5th has gone, and we are waiting for the 17th of July, I was wondering what is the one 50th souvenir that most Disneyland visitors must have?

Is it those golden mouse ears? Perhaps a golden anniversary autograph book?
A retro t-shirt. A disneyland wall map? The 6 CD set? These are a few that come to my mind. I myself do not yet have a "must Buy".

Was wondering what MiceChatters will be wanting to get their hands on? What items are you saving your pennies for?

I have 66 days until I will be in Disneyland. 66 days more days to save up for that "one" must have souvenir of the 50th.

Most likely the 6 CD set. Although I think I already own all those tracks...

      The "ONE"?!?? What a question!

Well, put that way I'd have to respond with mouseearswallmap6CDsetandeverybookIcangetmyhandson .

I already have my golden ears, a retro marquee t-shirt and a retro marquee fridge magnet. So I guess I can't keep to just ONE item! If I were forced to, somethign SHAG I think!

When I am in the park, who knows? I'm just bummed a couple of the LE are already sold out! He who hesitates is lost, and I sure did!

That said, there is so much variety, Disney is going for the gold this year for sure when it comes to merchandise. All this profit should ensure a couple of new E-ticket rides for Matt's budget before 2007.

          Forget 'one'!

When I'm at WDW, I am buying everything to do with Disneyland I can get my hands on. I only go once a year so I will make up for the rest of the year! Books, pins, CDs, DVDs, t-shirts! Definitely the golden ears if I can!

I just bought some golden ears from Disneyland (not WDW!) on eBay and I also bought one of those aerial golden toppers from Disneyland via eBay. So I already have two pieces of 50th merchandise which is pretty good for someone who when America has never stepped out of Florida (Orange County for that matter!) and lives in the Midlands of England!

I'm unsure about the 6 disc set. I do want the retro shot glasses and the retro t-shirt. I passed up buying the Golden Ears I may still purchase them later though.

              One? Puh-lease.

Even with my limited budget I'll at least get the ears and the wall map. I already have the antenna ball.

I also want the DL version of "coolest.toy.ever." aka the castle playset.

I doubt I'll be getting the CDs, much as I'd like them, because any time I have THAT much $, you'll find me in Disneyana finally buying the Olszewski stuff I want so bad.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

My golden ears and nametag are on there way (thanks to a sister with an AP) While I am there I plan on buying a few prints from the Disney Gallery, a wall map, a tshirt or two, and maybe a few other little things like magnets.

I am also getting ready to buy my commemorative brick with a 50th logo, so does that count?

I already got the golden ears, and I love collecting plushes so I already got the fab five! When I went to DL last week they already ran out of the 6 disc set soundtrack, I'm waiting for them to have it again. Maybe also a 50th shirt. Man I'm running out of money!

I guess nobody can stop at buying just one souvenir. The "powers that be" at Disney most certainly know this. I am getting answers that I expected, but I am sure there are many more great souvenir choices out there.

Got the retro t-shirt, the pins (w/Mickey and the retro ones), the 6 CD set, the reissue of the first Disneyland booklet, and the gold name badge (which is on it's way to my scrapbook minus the pin/clasp thingy-ma-bob). Our son got the ears...

We are off to the Shag event in June to pick up additional 'stuff' that is being released for the 50th.

I just didn't see any 50th anniversary sterling silver charms for my bracelet...maybe in July?

Oh, and for the record, I took a kabillion photos on the 4th-5th & 6th...does that count? lol!
....it all began with a Mouse...

150 bucks- same price they have always been- but if you have an AP, you get 10% off.

I am still trying to decide if I also want the wooden replica or not. I have been wanting one of these forever, and now is a better time than ever to get one- As long as they don;t take them out, Disneyland has a souviner of me!
