Personally I don't like it. I've been twice. Not happy with it Either time. I know there are however, people who do like it. I would suggest Ralph Brennan's instead of Tortilla Joe's.

How would you compare it to Rancho Zocalo in Frontierland? Or El Torito even..

          HA HA

Say, I haven't been there personally, but I have gotten several negative reports - the food, the price, the service (or lack thereof).

Rancho is ok. Not my favorite, not enough choices. I'd rather eat at Rancho than Tortilla Joe's

                  El Torito eww

Really, I've been there a few times and liked it. I just stick with the tacos though.

Wife and I bumped into my Aunt & Uncle and they had just eaten there and he was quite displeased. He said the service was horrible and he didn't exactly like paying $13 for a lousy burrito.

I've tried Tortilla Joe's. I didn't like it. The service was very slow too.
I've tried Rancho del Zocalo. It was pretty good. Very tasty. A good amount for what you paid for compared to the rest of DL.
El Torito is a lot better than both Rancho and Tortilla Joe's.

                          Re: Tortilla Joe's

Tortilla Jo's is on my "do not eat there under any circumstances" list.

Not only is the food bad and overpriced, but the service is utterly miserable. I've eaten there about 5 times since it opened (usually dragged there for some party or another, though I have eaten there with a small group too) and every single time it is just a miserable experience.

Granted, I haven't gotten sick multiple times off the food there (like Storytellers) but... DON'T GO.

As far as DtD is concerned, the food is better at ESPN Zone, House of Blues and Jazz Kitchen.

Did you get sick from Storytellers Cafe food? I love their Cobb Salad....very surprising to hear and glad you mentioned it. What did you eat that didn't agree with you, if I may ask.

Ew. I would never eat at Rancho again. We've eaten there twice and both times we just laughed that that was someone's idea of Mexican food. :yuck: The rice was especially bad, but all the meat was questionable, everything was bland and served cold. Never ever again.

I've had a dinner at Tortilla Joe's and it was ridiculously expensive for the quality of the food and the poor service (hot waiter excluded).

I just tried their express window and I was pleased--the tacos were good, the nachos huge. Plus, it was cheap and fast and hot. Much better than their table service!
