  • Photo trip report from January 11, 2007

Hit the park for just over an hour today on my way to the office, and even though it looked like rain, it was a great time. Lines were nonexistent for everything except Indiana Jones and Space Mountain! Here's a few pictures for your enjoyment, and a moment of silence may be appropriate -- a churro and a dole whip gave up their existence to bring you this information:

Some new banners are up now that the Christmas ones have come down:

I took the Monorail into the park:
    .

My attempt at a Nemo's Sub Voyage spy shot:

    Jedi Training Academy:

Churning popcorn on Main Street is such a thankless task:

The snake in my bed was THIS big!

A detail I hadn't noticed in the queue before:

    Space Mountain Rocks!

A swan swam up to me in front of the castle:

While waiting for Peter Pan, I saw the evil queen:

    Peter Pan:

The turkeys that were subject to a presidential pardon:

The skies are darkening over Big Thunder:

    Pirates!

And then my hour was up. Back to work! Hope you guys enjoy the pictures, which by the way, were taken with NO flash, for the enjoyment of other guests.

Ah so much Froggy! Thanks for the photos. This was fun to observe!

I did get a better camera in Mid-November - a Canon Digital Rebel XT 350d, and I think it takes awesome pictures. As I've said in response to the compliments I've received since I have been posting pictures with this new camera, it's the camera, not the photographer!

                    I disagree!! It's both!!
                    Very nice!
The camera doesn't give the eye for the shots, it just takes the shots.

Your fantastic photos shows just how oddly sculpted the Jack Sparrow animatronics are!

                            Canon Rebels are NIIICE.

And I'm sure the photos have as much to do with your eye as the photographer as much as it does with the quality of camera. You two are certainly a winning team!

                            Keep up the great work!

...P.S. That shot of London from Peter Pan in particular is AMAZING. It could easily be mistaken for a publicity photo anyday! - And your Indy & Pirates shots are awesome as well!

how do you manage having your pictures turn out so good? Do you use flash (even though its not prohibbited)?
