  • Turtle Talk with Crush

I was just wondering, have you, or any of your kids ever gotten the chance to ask Crush a question at DCA's turtle talk with Crush?

I finally got a chance to get a question answered. Before we got in, I told my friend I wanted to ask Crush if he's ever met a mermaid. We both raised our hands to ask the same question, and Crush ended up picking my friend.

    The answer?
Crush: You mean those half fish half human things? Uh, I thought those were myths, dude.
Friend: But I met one right outside!
Crush: I think you've had too much sun, dude.
    Friend: Her name was Ariel.
Crush: Ohh yeah, I think I've heard of some sort of story about a little mermaid once. If I run into her, I'll make sure to say hi for you!

Of course that wasn't the exact conversation. I was too busy laughing to get the whole gist.

If you haven't gotten the chance to ask a question, what was one of the best questions/answers you've ever heard?

I remember one time, this kid asked, "What would you do if you found out you had a turtle clone of yourself?"

Crush gave a puzzled look as everyone was laughing and then said "That would be totally awesome! We'd go surfing together, I'd say, you're totally awesome dude!" etc etc.

I really love Turtle talk because it's different each time, and kids just ask the cutest questions. =D

We went once this summer, and the kids loved him. Reminds me that I need to take them more often, they really enjoyed it.

If you ask him a questions about his friends etc. he will call for them and they can "swim" up to the front and say hi, its pretty cool! No all the character but some are available. I am sure that someone here can tell you exactly which ones.

When I went shortly after the new revamped Space Mountain opened, a kid asked if Crush likes the old Space Mountain or the new Space Mountain better. Since I just uploaded the video a couple of days ago, you can see his answer here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXlNWnPgoY4

I talked to Stitch about crush once, because maybe crush could teach him how to swim and then he wouldn't have to be scared of the water, and he mentioned that they went surfing together but he wasn't actually surfing with crush he was surfing on crush and then squirt bit his toe.

                      Re: Turtle Talk with Crush

Three times I have tried to get my 8 year old son to do this, and he just isn't interested. I take him inside the animation building and he literally begs and pleades not to do it. Is 8 years old a bit too old for this? He LOVES the Jedi Training Academy so I am thinking kids who are into this are not into Crush.

DisneyIPresume--if he were to go once, I think he would love it. My kids ALL love it, including my 16 yr old! He likes trying to come up with questions (clean questions) that he thinks crush won't be able to answer! lol

Thanks! My son LOVES asking questions. I think if I tell him this then he just might want to give it a try! (of course he is 8 and so I will have to remind him that potty humor is not appropriate! LOL)

                            Re: Turtle Talk with Crush

I've seen it three times, twice here & once in Florida. The best was when one of the kids (about 5) asked him about Nemo. Crush told him that he (Nemo) had gotten lost one time and he had to help find him.

"Took about two hours," Crush said. The audience got it. Kid didn't. There was a long pause, and then Crush swipes his flipper over his head like "that one went right over you, didn't it?"

A contender for the best attraction at DCA. It's so amazing how they do that!
