  • Tinkerbell; how does she do it?

Aside from Magic and Pixie Dust, does anyone know how Tinkerbell flies over Sleeping Beauty's Castle, during Remember, Dreams Come True?

I know there are multiple wires going from the top of the Matterhorn to the landing tree shaped tower in Frontierland, but does anybody know or have pictures of her harness?

I've looked everywhere to try to figure out how she is able to fly up and down, and turn over the castle. I've even searched Google Patent Search for a patent on her harness, but I can't find anything.

Does anyone, or any Cast Member know how it's done, or have pictures to share?

Ever been to TDS and the Mermaid Lagoon Theatre? Ariel swims underwater in a similar way.

If you look closely, there is a small, flat, and rectangular object that glides back and forth on the mulitple wires. It's black, so it's a bit hard to spot, but it's there. Watch the fireworks near the castle to get good glimpse of it. Wires attached from the gliding object to Tinkerbell move up and down to lower or raise her as she takes her flight.

In earlier fireworks shows, before Remember... Dreams Come True, Tinkerbell would make only one nonstop flight, gliding from Matterhorn to an imitation water tower near the Village Haus restaurant in Fantasyland. Now, the water tower was located in a Cast Members only area, but it was viewable from the exit ramp of Casey Jr. It was fun to watch her crash into the padding inside the tower...

And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
        It was pain

Yeah, she doesn't crash into the tower anymore.

I have seen her do it several times, usually from backstage, its pretty cool. Though I guess not so cool if you are playing Tinkerbell.....

I heard from a pyro's wife that works at DL that she/he just hangs out and sits on a chair on top of a building somewhere in Frontierland/Fantasyland

I would love to see that video again

Re: Tinkerbell; how does she do it?

The day I was going to take video of Tinkerbell crashing into the tower, Remember... Dreams Come True debuted. So, that was a bummer...

              Does anyone have the video?

I checked You Tube, and I didn't see any of her crashing. I wanna see it too.

That tower is located within the Big Thunder show area. The backstory of that tower is that it is the Frontierland Fire Watch Station; which explains the platform. There is no water container at the top of that tower.

Because the people that worked with him day in and day out didn't know what Walt wanted. Walt didn't know what he wanted 'til he wanted it."

I thought it was just pixie dust that made her fly.
