It opened at 2PM and closed 5 minutes after that. It was quite a different world back then!

I don't know... my complete guess is 10 o'clock... I vaguely remember when they started opening at
9 and that that was a big deal...

I *thought* that it was open for lunch so that's gotta be at the latest 11.

Spokker, you had me going... I re-read it twice.....

10am sounds about right. Think I remember reading that in a Walt Disney bio once.

Walt was with Annett Funichelo in his apartment (above the firehouse) when the first guests entered Main Street on opening day. He is said to have had tears in his eyes when he saw happy and excited faces everywhere.

Do you mean on a day to day basis or on opening day?

I think the top Disneyland nerds should make a web site that mimics Disneyland.com's calender, except you can put in any date over the course of the park's history and get the show schedule and park hours.

Knowing how insane some of us can be there is probably already a web site like that!

No need to turn this into an AP-bashing thread. I for one actually visit the park for the WHOLE day when I make my trips (Deluxe holder) , and I'm always smiling and having a good time

When did the park close back then? Maybe 6 pm?

Spokker...I have indeed located such websites (though it's not shown as a calendar, but it lists all the important dates for every single year since the park has been opened ).
