  • Can City Hall help with this question? (Disneyland history related)

So i have this artifact in my Museum:

I have no idea what it is. No one knows what it is. I do know that it is a real event, as i have seen the website of a person that did the rigging for the lights during the event, but that site is gone now. My question is, if I go into City Hall during my trip next month, and ask them about it, what are the chances they can find the answer for me? Anyone know if there is a resident Disneyland historian or archivist at the park i can talk to?

Sosai, I would suggest e-mailing the archives. They might be able to help!

Yeah I would say Ask dave is your best bet. Most people at City Hall don't recall every event that has taken place in the past year much less an event from 1990. But I have seen that badge someplace else, if you find anything let us know.

I usually send people over to City Hall if they have appraisal questions, because I figure that they probably can put the guests in contact with someone who can help them out. However, I don't know if that's actually true. E-mailing Dave Smith seems like a good idea, though.

I'm a Disney Historian, I'll look into it myself. I'll see what I can find out. PM me please, that way I won't forget about it. Any info is helpful if you know anything at all about the event.

            Naw. He's still around. See:

Why don't you just email him for info and a password to his pictures?

The only thing I know is that I've seen this badge in the offices of several in Sales and Entertainment. Which leads me to believe it was a private entertainment function of some kind. But that's just a guess. I have no real first-hand info on the thing.
