I am leaving in 2 days for Disneyland. I plan on getting their early in the morning. The first day, we arrive in the afternoon, so we will play that by ear. However., the 3 other mornings, I plan on getting as much done as I can in the early hours of the day. It does help that the park hours are 8 a.m. to midnight for Disneyland, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. for DCA.
I refuse to let the crowds control me. With a little planning, I do just fine. I get most of what I want to do done. There's plenty of time for all the parades, and fireworks. I also "Plan" some good food, and rest into each day.
Since I like vacationing with my grandson, I am almost always forced into visiting during crowded times.
How are the crowds usually at the end of April? Not as busy as the beginning?
Correct. There might be some crowd at the end of the month due to the SoCal Two-fer (one day at DL, the other at DCA) which expire 4/26. Darkbeer has more details on this somewhere around here.
Actually, here at mousesavers: http://www.mousesavers.com/dltickets.html#2fer
States that last day for first day's use is 4/26, and the last day is 30 days after first day, which can be as late as 5/26. In years' past, there have been an artificially large crowds at DCA on the last weekend before this promotion expired, due to the last day being an absolute date. So, this year, there shouldn't be an artificially large crowd at DCA. Unless, of course, there is an artificially large crowd at DL on 4/26. "Procrastination nation."
