Nope. It just did a circuit of Tomorrowland.

On the 1958 map it showed a Fantasyland station and here is a shot of it..not sure if there was a Tomorrowland one, but it would make sense..

Damn, the upper part of Fantasyland where Small World now sits was jam packed with attractions instead of just one: Viewliner Station, Motor Boat Cruise, Fantasyland Railroad Station, Junior Autopia, Midget Autopia.

Yup there was a Fantasyland and a Tomorrowland station. This allowed two Viewliners to operate at once - the red and the blue.

This is one ride I wish I had got to go on simply because I am a railroad fanatic, much like Walt was. Though I don't have a Carolwood Pacific in my backyard.

You can always head up to Portland, Oregon and ride the "Zooliner"...which is the Viewliners very close cousin. Scroll down a bit on this page:

I have ridden the Zooliner approximately 500 trillion times in my life. (Both my parents come from Portland) Doesn't make me want to ride the Dland version any less.

I'm just amazed at how much city landscape you can see compared to these days.

Yeah. There wasn't much need for tall trees around the berm in those early days, as there were no hi-rise visual intrusions anywhere near Disneyland! As long as you were standing at ground level, that is.

But one thing's for certain: You didn't have to be elevated on an attraction very high...in order to see out into all of Anaheim back then. Witness that in this shot from 1956 of another famous Disneyland train:

All it took was that little hump on Casey Junior...and you got a panoramic view of remnants of orange groves, and a newly developing city.
