  • Disneyland Music

We all know that a large part of Disney's impeccable ambiance is the piped in music, and wonderfully detailed attraction audio. What bit of musical magic do you consider to be the ultimate Disneyland audio and how does it impact your experience at the park?

I came across a loop of NOS atmosphere sounds where a "fine Southern lady" is talking to her cat who has destroyed her room and then talks to her parrot (with a really smart mouth) and then hears songbirds sing the Tiki room's bird anthem "Let's all sing..." I think it was piped from shutters above NOS.

      Critter Country

I am partial to the critter country loops with music from "Song of the South" They had a real magical feeling to that corner of the park, and sitting in the lower level of the Hungry Bear early morning and listening to that when it's still quite, you can't beat it!

When it's time to go home and visit...It's time to go to Disneyland!!!

I love the music that can be heard as you walk through the castle into Fantasyland. Nothing says Disney like a loop of Disney movie music!

Also the live music performed in several areas (ok, not as many as there used to be) of the parks. Like the great steel drum band of Adventureland, and the barbershop quartets of Main Street--you just can't beat the ambiance there!

I LOVE the garbage can dudes in Tomorrowland.
"Somebody need me too much; somebody know me too well. Somebody pull me up short, and put me through hell, and give me support for being alive. Make me alive. Make me alive! Make me confused; mock me with praise. Let me be used. Vary my days. But alone is alone, not alive. Somebody crowd me with love, somebody force me to care. Somebody let me come through, I'll always be there as frightened as you, to help us survive being alive."

I also agree. The Critter Country loop really fits the area and compliments the honey popcorn well!

I agree. The music is wonderful in that area and the queue of Splash Mountain. I have those tracks from my Disneyland Forever CDs and listen to them often.

I don't have that on CD, but I've heard some of it. It does set the mood well...

It's hard to choose a favorite. But i think i like the adventureland area sounds the best. it really makes you feel like you're in a very tropical area.

Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?
Homer: But Marge, this one came with a corn-cob pipe!
Marge: [reading from the test box] "Ahoy, Maties! If the water turns blue, a baby for you! If purple ye see, no baby thar be!"
Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
                          Marge: Pink.
                          Homer: D'oh!
Marge: "If ye test should fail, to a doctor set sail!"

Aww, he's great. He's been there forever. I think it's pretty special to have a guy that into what he does at the park. He's a really smart and funny guy. I think he totally fits in and sets the mood. When he's not there, it seems a little odd.
                            Just my 2 cents...
