  • Disneyland Update: Secrets of the Disney Gallery

So do you miss the Gallery already? Actually I do. It was one of my favorite places in the park.

Secrets of the Disney Gallery. The new Update is up.

This Update covers the 40 year history of the Royal Suite / The Disney Gallery. I was able to able to find concept art for all of the original rooms (except the master bedroom). I was even able to trackdown the artwork for the formal dining room (by Dorthea Redmond) and also for the original Royal Courtyard entrance (by Herb Ryman).

It runs about six mintues this time.

Leave some comments. Let me know what you think. Enjoy.

Opus gives it 5 Bottles Up! Well done and Thanks!

Here's the only shot I have of it when it was being used for Tokyo Disneyland offices (after INA left):

And my copy on the full 21 Royal INA article...just for everyone's further perusal:

      Opus,

Thanks for that photo. Wish I had it over the weekend. But if it's OK with you, I'll drop it into the film for future use. I plan to make an end of the year (2007 Yearbook style) DVD--assuming I get time to pull it together. The photo would be a great addition.

Officials never "officially" said, but I've talked to a number of people in managerial positions, and--for what it's worth--they've all told me the same thing: a suite for the YOAMD. After that, who knows?

Well...Disney is the true owner of that photo I suppose, so it's not really up to me to give permission to use it.

But you're more than welcome to pinch my scan of it that I posted above. What you use it for is your own business.

Hey disneylandtour, could you please post links to the high-resolution concept art that you put in your video?

I love the big glass ashtrays on the conference table! You certainly don't see that anymore in a business meeting. Thanks for the rare pics!

There's a couple of even bigger glass ashtrays in the INA photo.
