I'd like more details about whether you can buy tickets, etc. etc. Because I am not sitting ALL day to see it. I will buy a ticket for priority seating, if that's an option.

Candlelight is an invitation only event. In the past few years they've experimented with dining packages, but they haven't made any announcements about them yet this year, so they might or might not happen.

I know a CM and they said you can just take a place on Main Street and watch it that night. ??? Are they misinformed? And, who invites you? ha!

Sorry that thread is by invitation only, costs $10K in membership dues and the waiting list is 15 years long. Oh no, that's Club 33, sorry!

For the link to the thread you only have to know the secret handshake.

                Re: 2007 Candlelight Celebration

Last year the event was on Main Street, and there was standing room
available, if you were there early enough. They did experiment
with having it in the Fantasyland theater a couple of years, so you did
need entry tickets for that .

BUT saying the Candlelight Service is invitation ONLY, is misleading.

Last year was the 1st time I saw it, and it was beautifully done.
Very worthwhile to see. Even if you are in the standing viewing area.

Caveat: They hold flashlights that look like candles, not real lit candles, which to me made it a lot less magical. I understand the fire marshall doesn't want hundreds of teenage choirists burning wax candles, but it didn't occur to me they'd be fake until I saw the show.

                    Re: 2007 Candlelight Celebration

I have written down in my calendar that the Candlelight Processional is December 1 and 2, 2007 -- but I'm not sure if that was just based on the fact that the past five years it's always been the first week of December, or if that was actually announced somewhere. Because of the castmember parties later in the month, it's usually the first weekend of the month, however, so consider that at least an educated guess.

                        Re: 2007 Candlelight Celebration

It's totally free and anyone can watch, as long as you are willing to either 1.) stand on Main Street for the whole show, not to mention wait several hours beforehand or 2.) do a dinner package to obtain the privilege of sitting in a chair. So for the second option, the show is still free but you are committed to buying dinner in exchange for priority seating.

                          Re: 2007 Candlelight Celebration

Sorry if my first post was misleading, I only meant that the reserved seating was by invitation only. You can certainly choose to stand on Main St. for a few hours beforehand if you wish, I was simply responding to I Heart Disneyland's post about buying a ticket and not wanting to camp out all day for it.

Yes, the dates of Dec. 1 & 2 are confirmed, and no, there is no info on if they're doing the dining packages again this year.

Information on how to reserve seats for the 2007 Candlelight Processional

The 2007 Candlelight Processional will be held on Saturday, December 1st and Sunday, December 2nd.

The narrator this year will be Jane Seymour.

And here is the basic info on ordering a Candlelight Processional package, which comes with a meal and a reserved seat to one of the 4 performances. (The menu is pretty much a selected menu, with of course multiple dietary options) Alcoholic beverages are not included in the price.

Tickets go on sale on Monday, November 19 beginning at 10 a.m. Pacific Time

                            The web site is Tickets.com

Very briefly, the price points are:

An AP exclusive at Napa Rose for $125 per person

                            Others:

Steakhouse 55, Vineyard Room and Yamabuki for $100 per person

Storytellers and Hook's Point $75 per person.
I presume there will be a ticket surcharge added.

These packages go VERY quickly, so if you want a reserved seat, you need to be ready to order on the 19th. I would register an account at Tickets.com in advance, and be ready to go at 10 AM exactly on the 19th.
