  • Oh My Gosh!!! How could Disneyland do this???

While enjoying the Park a few weeks back, we were strolling along towards Toon Town when we came upon this sign.

It was a TT lightpole sign in the middle of the walkway, but with nothing on it. Just a blank sign.

We were crushed! The kids started to cry! The rainclouds started forming above us! Our trip was ruined!

How could Disneyland do this to us??? After all, we're AP'ers for heavens sake!!!

    LOL

Actually, other than the sign truly being blank, none of the other stuff happened. We just walked on by it and enjoyed the rest of our day at the Park.

But on our way out, the kids did insist on taking a photo with it and jokingly said that we should post it on MC and complain about it, since they have seen folks post pics of peeling paint, faded walls, overflowing trash cans and such, and that it should fit right in with those.

    So here it is! :lmao:

    Enjoy!

That's the sign that says, or should say, that Toontown is opening late or closing early.

It's bad show to have a blank sign, especially when it should have such important information as a land closure or opening. If someone were to plan to visit Toontown at night when it closes for the fireworks and return only to see it closed, it would be annoying.

Whether the sign blew off or something forgot to put the sign on there, it should either be replaced or moved off to the side.

Apparently... someone didn't have their imaginations with them that day... I can read the sign... it says, "Right this way for a fun time for children of all ages." Gosh, if you can't read that, you're missing a helping of pixie dust.

Being the Disney Apologist I am I will make up a back story.

Sam the Sign loved to play pracitcal jokes on people. His favorite was to hold up a blank sign. If people asked him about it, he would insist the sign is not for them, but only for special people. Then they would suddenly say, "Oh now I can see it" and he would laugh and laugh.

It sounds like your kids have great senses of humor. Good for them and you for raising such smart kids!

The sign is not blank! It is COVERED in blue paint! :P

Now hang on to them hats n' glasses, cause this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!

Actually, if there are no early closures or late openings, the sign stays blank. On nights when there are no fireworks, Toontown is open until park closing and the sign is not needed.

Instead of flaking paint, they seem to have used a bit TOO much paint on that sign!

If anyone should complain about having a bad experience and decline in the parks, it's the guy in the video!! (The original poster of this video used a camera and the TV, so it's bad quality and it was originally TV-14, so use your own discretion).

I'd make a sign that says something like, "Move along....nothing to see here!"
