  • Buying Tickets at the Park - Tips?

    Hey guys.
I'm taking my parents to Disneyland tomorrow! It'll be their first time there. Yay! But because we're doing DL only and 1 day only, we have to get their tickets at the park (that is correct, right?).

Other than get there early... Is there any times the lines are lower? And are ticket booths on both sides of the Esplanade open? I was thinking lines might be less on the Timon side?

    Any help would be appreciated!
    Good morning, son

Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

When I bought a ticket we just took the tram in from the structure and walked up to a ticket booth. I believe the park was already open by about 30 minutes at the time. The lines were not crazy long, but it wasn't a holiday weekend ....

I think you can still buy tickets at The Disney Store. I know you can still AP's there, but I am not sure about single tickets thought. And while typing this I remembered that Disney Stores are in malls, and the malls might be more crowded than the Ticket Booths at Disneyland. I don't think you will have that much trouble though and have a great day.

You can buy tickets at the Disney Store, and I've noticed that most supermarkets also sell tickets, sometimes at a discount price. Those are pretty good deals and they also save you a lot of time.

When ticket booths on both side of the esplanade are open, the Timon side is pretty much guaranteed to have shorter lines. However, they aren't always open and you'll be forced to go to the tram side. I guess you'll just have to hope for a light-traffic day. And even if the line's kinda long, they usually move at a decent pace.

        Have fun with your family!

We did ask at a disney store, but they only sell park hoppers and APs (vouchers, or whatever). The CM said that DL only tix have to be purchased at the park, which is what I thought.

I am just worried about the lines, I don't want to waste too much time since there will probably be lines in the park too

are you getting a parkhopper or just dl?

if it's a parkhopper you can print an eticket from your computer and take it to the park or what we did ...pick the tickets up at will call.

The southern california parkhopper is only $86.00.

maybe single one park tickets can be ordered over the phone:
            Single-Day Theme Park Ticket**
Available at Resort Main Entrance ticket booths or by calling (714) 781-4400**.

Hhm. I'd still check out Albertons or Vons.

I agree. Check Vons first. It is the holiday season and they may not have them though. But the Timon side is always shorter in the AM. Don't forget to ask for the So Cal price too. You can also go to Costco for a 3 day ticket that is good for a few trips. We bought it last year and my Mom was able to go a few times for $129.

                Have fun!

Just DL. It's cheaper and less to worry about w/them.

                  Thanks for the help, sucba!
We'll check the grocery stores while we're out. I kinda forgot about that lol
