  • Favorite Attraction Disney Never Built

What is your favorite attraction that you know Imagineering has proposed but was never built? What are some of the attractions you've heard about being considered or designed that we all might not know about, but would find interesting? What are you glad they never built?

Please include as much info as you can, espcially pictures if you have them.
The Mickey audience is not made up of people; it has no racial, national, political, religious or social differences or affiliations; the Mickey audience is made up of parts of people, of that deathless, precious, ageless, absolutely primitive remnant of something in every world-wracked human being which makes us play with children’s toys and laugh without self-consciousness at silly things, and sing in bathtubs, and dream and believe that our babies are uniquely beautiful. You know…the Mickey in us.

There was a time, I heard that they were thinking of making a villains ride. In which I would like them to do and to please include Peg Leg Pete/Pete in it. But they normally forget him.

Minor technicality but if you had said "addition that WDI contemplated but never did" then my reply would have been any of a multitude of enhancements proposed for Jungle Cruise.

WRE is an obvious one, but I remember a Tomorrowland attraction at Disney Gallery's "Disneyland That Never Was" that included a trip to the Moon to watch a 'dying Earth.' It included simulated scenes of our planet in turmoil and what needs to be done to pervent it. It also included a 'city' built on Mars for Earth's surviors. Pretty interesting.

Space Mountain on the outside as well inside.

Westcot and the big hotels they planned. Little Mermaid not being in Disneyland.

I have two, but still hope to see them someday in Disneyland.

Thunder Mesa: Incorporates the western river expedition, an interactive indian village and maybe a western BBQ.
-- I want this built north of Thunder Mountain, in that little-used area. The Railroad roaring through it would enhance the are.

Toontown Trolley: Interactive E-ticket in fading Toontown.
-- I want this done with Oswald, he needs a place in the park. It should be something like Spiderman at Islands of Adventure, with 3D cartoons flying around as the motion simulates an out-of-control trolley ride.
"I have blind faith in the policy that quality, tempered with good judgment and showmanship, will win against all odds." -- Walt Disney
"Quality is a great business plan.” -- John Lasseter
