  • Has FP very recently changed?

    And I mean very recently.

Reports from someone on another board (I know, I know, you guys say to stay away from them, but I don't) says that as of yesterday FP won't let you hold more than one at a time in the way it has allowed in the last year or two.

    Anyone notice that this week?

I ask here b/c you guys are there all the time, and also it might be important for the Gumball Rally participants to find out... And for my under-48-hour trip in 8 days.
That was my post, but I think it was just a problem in one person describing things from a different context than those reading!

While I can't speak for the status of FP, I will say that it's possible to do a TON of rides without it (either for the Gumball Rally or your own trip). The key is to get there early (right when it opens). We did that one Sun. and were able to do all of FL, iasw, Space, Thunder, Indy, and Pirates in a little under two hours.

I highly doubt it. How would they revise the system? There is no way for them to know if you have used the FP or not, so I don't think the FP has changed.

        Good to know.

Also good that the person explained, and I think there was just a disconnect between how it is now vs how it used to be, and when "used to be" was defined. I'm going to see if I can edit my thread title.

Liz is right. They have no way of gauging whether you have used your fastpass or not. No changes right now.

You could hold more than one fastpass before?

            I thought that was impossible

^ You can get another FP when the time for your current FP starts. For example, say I have a FP for Big Thunder for 11am-12pm. At 11am I could go get another FP....I don't have to wait until I use mine for Big Thunder.

Sure you can. You just can't get another fastpass until it's after the time listed on the last fastpass you got.

Whats more Disney has never enforced the stop time. If the pass say 1:00PM to 2:00PM show up at 6:00PM they will still let you use it.

See, stay away from other boards, we have all the knowledge you need.

Actually this did change (or got noticed by me for the first time) a couple years ago. Say it's noon and you get a fastpass for space mountain that's good at 6pm. When you go to get another fastpass for space mountain at 3pm you'll get a message saying "You already have a fastpass for Space Mountain." and it won't give you another for that ride even though you're technically allowed to get another fastpass at that point, they just make you do it at another ride.

On the other hand say it's noon and you get a fastpass for space mountain that's good for 1pm. And then at 3pm you go and get another, it'll let you and you can use both fastpasses whenever you want.

I ran into that exact problem recently. I could've sworn you could do that in the past. It could have been because it was an extremely busy day, and it might be something that's done only for Space, or only on such a day.

...By the way, this is my happy 1955 post. Hooray for Walt, Hooray for Disneyland!

Re: Has FP very recently changed?

You can grab a new FastPass at your return time or in two hours, whichever is earlier. It's been like this since the beginning.

So if the system says you can come back in three hours to an attraction, then you can grab another FastPass in two hours since that is earlier then your return time. If the system asks you to come back in 55 minutes, then you can grab another FastPass in 55 minutes because your return time is earlier then two hours.

Any questions? You can also look at the bottom of your FastPass ticket and see when the system unlocks for you and give you the ability to get another FastPass.

Now there are some attractions that are "disconnected" from the system... and I believe the FastPass thread that already exists and is stickied can help you on that one.

I encountered the same thing when I tried to get a second Fastpass for Indiana Jones Adventure after the window opened up.

Not when you have the Dream Fastpass, and there's no return time on those, either.
