  • Celebrating My 5 Year Old's Birthday, What to do???

I'm planning on taking my daughter to Disneyland for a day trip this week for her 5th Birthday. Any ideas on what can make it extra special?

Get a birthday button for sure - and she'd probably enjoy a trip to Ariel's Grotto.

There are many things to do:

      - Character breakfast at Plaza Inn and/ or Ariel's Grotto.

      - Princess Fantasy Faire

      - See the Aladdin Show

      - Watch the parade, Fantasmic!, and/ or fireworks.

Make sure and go to City Hall first to get the birthday button and a birthday call. If you eat at one of the sit down restaurants in the resort you can always purchase a birthday bucket from her.

One of my most favorite memories was when we were there for my youngest's birthday one year. As we boarded the monorail the cm's noticed it was his birthday, via his button, and they sang Happy Birthday to him over the speaker as we pulled into the station

As mentioned previously, Town Hall first for the birthday button. After that, virtually every CM who sees the button will wish her happy birthday, maybe give her a sticker or a special seat, etc. MOst of the restaurants offer at least a special dessert. We ate at the BLue Bayou on my son's 5th birthday in January, and they brought him a chocolate mousse (mouse, that is) with lit candles and sang happy birthday.
