  • Captain EO

I saw that my friends friend/roomate had this on DVD when I visited them in California. Anyway I remember when that spider thing, Angelica Houston, came down in front of my face and scared the heck out of me....So I had to take off my glasses for the rest of the film .

I also remember at the beginning that exploding rock. I remember that there was an elephant and I think a robot too, but I am not sure.

Anyway, what are your memories of the attraction?

I saw it in 1988. I was 8 years old and I remember Michael Jackson's 3D hand coming out of the screen to try and touch me...

Now, this was show I was looking forward in seeing. But it didn't stay long enough; for even my first trip to WDW. My first trip ever was 1996 and it was already gone.

I loved the music of the show, effects were great, but I loved the loud music.

I remember it being VERY loud. But I loved Fuzzball (the little furry thing with wings). And the music was actually quite catchy. Ahhh the days when Michael Jackson was still cool... and black... andd still had a nose.

The memory of a black and young Michael Jackson saying the words "Oh Hooter!" stick in my mind bigtime. All kidding aside... It was and still is a great film.

I love Captain Eo. So much that I had a friend make a Tshirt of the logo for me. If I ever meet George Lucas, and I came real close ( saw him but he had too many body guards), I wouldn't ask him about Star Wars. I would ask him about Captain Eo.

Ok maybe I'd ask him if he'd ever consider updating Star Tours too.

Im like you, the spider and rocks scared the heck out of me. I only remember seeing this a couple times, and each time, I couldnt get past those things.

Sorry the shirt is a little wrinkled. It has been folded in my closet since 1989.

That is so AWESOME! Captain EO was one of my biggest memories from visiting the park in 1991 and I wish I would have bought a souvenir while we were there. I remember the little fuzzy flying animal, the loud music, robot who changed into drums, amazing dancing, and yes I too recall the scary Angelica Houston spider things coming down from the ceiling. Michael Jackson was so cool back then and everyone was dressing up like him and trying to dance in his style. So sad to see where he is now but we will always have Captain EO.
